Lag and game performance

Can anyone address the lag and game performance directly? Will the developers and game owners post an acknowledgement that the game is running very poorly and outline what is being done to fix it? If you all can please outline the steps you will be/are taking to fix it. Maybe crammimg 7 servers into 4 was a bit short sighted!
It's to the point where I don't want to play because of the lag issue.
I know everyone is trying but keeping the customers outside of the loop doesn't help. if all this information is posted please direct me/us to that post.

There’s been quite a bit of acknowledgment to the performance issues by the staff of SSG, but to track down every bit of info would take time, so if you really want to invest said time, use the staff tracker here in the forums, use the search function in the Discord set to filter by member and search posts by staff names like Cordovan or Tolero or Severlin, or go to DDO’s YouTube and watch the recent Fridays at Four videos.

You’ll find a lot of talk of “investigating” or “looking into reports” or “identifying an issue” and the like, but will typically only see the results of that talk around patch releases, because SSG doesn’t tend to discuss the tech work being done behind the scenes in any real detail until it has been implemented. Even then you might not get an answer more in depth than “we resolved an issue that was causing…” or something similar.

The info SSG has been willing to put out is available, you just have to find it, but also understand the info you’re given might not be what you’re hoping for, or worth the effort to find in the first place.
