Could you consider doing something with scattershot? is like the useless aoe attack by far and it is a tier 4 enchancement worthing 2 points, sharing charges with manyshot and even a cooldown on its own. I think it need a lot of love.

maybe the extra damage from precise shot helps a bit but i think i'll still feel behind other cheapers aoe options.

edit: it's even bugged on breackeables, usually miss depending its height or your distance.

Could you please also fix the hireling AI for other supports and healers? (Fvs, Cleric, Bard). They charge into melee and die immediately, instead of standing back and healing. Giving them a ranged weapon could be the easiest way to fix their AI, if they work similar to Rana then.
They also have an auto no fail intimidate that gets them killed often. If this is not WAI it would be great to get this addressed at some point.

This is a great point. GXB really needs the same buff bows get. I honestly dont remember the last time I saw anyone using a GXB. Probably someone incredibly stubborn who just loves GXB and doesnt care how poor they are...

Great Xbows should get a largish armor piercing bonus or fortification bypass as their perk.

Agree! Would like to see Great bows get a little love as well!

P.S. This scalpel approach to nerf & buff work is much better!

Edit - maybe differentiate between shotbow (fastest), longbow (faster than current), and add in greatbow for current attack speed with bigger numbers?
I love this thought on differentiating more between bow types. Attack speed, Damage die, Stat Mod adjustment… what about allowing offhand bucklers/orbs with short bows?

Yeahhhhh nah. Hope there's a Lam next week with more changes. Here's what I think from playing the meta slave build:
- make the use of a rune arm unavailable to the inquisitive style. This would neutralize some of the big damage boosts from battle engineer (thinking t4 doubleshot and imbue dice) and make the repeater xbow style more unique. Depending on tweaks of the build, the rune arm is accounting for a lot of free damage that could easily be trimmed off. adding a rune arm requirement to the battle engineer actives would also help shape the inquis into its own unique role.
- NHB loses charges and goes on a 5 minute cooldown. The damage output from this ability alone is leading to phase skipping raids in reaper with enough inquisitives.
- heavy xbow is way too much base damage. light xbow only
- half all firing speed bonuses (think of it as a penalty for not having a free hand to reload the xbow)
- introduce a range limit. hand crossbows are essentially pistols. For soloing r10s, all you have to do is find the furthest point from the mobs and turn on auto attack. the mobs die before they ever get to you. Make the inquis playstyle more active and dynamic. All improved uncanny dodge is being used for in this tree is proc the ranged power buff from the through the mists filigree set on a swap stick.
- imbue reduced to 100% scaling

here's some absolutely wild thoughts I had (have a laugh at these):
- make doubleshot work like offhand strike chance and cap it at 100% when using inquisitive style
- NHB prevents the player from moving. Hope you have -100% threat gen or a very active tank.
- jumping and shooting requires a balance check from the recoil of the crossbows
- 5% chance the bolts collide in mid air and shatter (if a wild mage can turn into a rat or just die from a storm cloud, let's just make some wacky things for other combat styles)
- any non-lawful character can't use the imbue

So you basically want to completely kill inquisitors...

It sounds like they want balance and build choice/identity. Good proposed changes that can add to other current discussions.

Love the idea of no runearm. Your hands are already very busy with dual xbows. Repeater/arti love and identity enforcement would be a welcome addition. Just need GXB buffs on top of all this.

every 0.25 seconds to a bolt firing every 0.3 seconds, which will match how these skills operate for other crossbow styles like Repeating Crossbows. The end result is about a 20% adjustment in attack speed.
Anybody test this by counting the shots during NHB/Fusilade on live versus LLama?

Thank you so much for the cosmetic tab and making the feats permanent. It's a nice change. I encourage you to include Reaper cosmetics here as well.

Can you create a tab for paid permanent hirelings too, like mounts? There are too many.

And filters in the crafting bank? Please, please, we need to get some order there.

Yes.!

And wizards still struggle to equip so many spellpowers, and there are no ED mantles for them. Wizards aren't specialists, they're not sorcs. Long cooldowns, no immunity bypass, their theoretical strength is having a large spellbook, but the current design penalizes using a wide array of spells.

I'd have a lot to say about what's left to do, but that might hinder the scalpel approach.
As others have said, while you're working on ranged, applying the new Precise Shot buff to ALL single-shot ranged styles (bows AND crossbows) would be great.
Otherwise, pleased to see the cosmetic grouping, I know several people for which this'll be very useful.

Please cap INT on melees. Does not make sense from a realistic roleplay perspective someone takes melee into fights with casters and ranged combatants, yet has high INT - its a contradiction. Caveat, you could have feats like Nihilist and such that allows higher INT - like they know it's not a good idea but don't care, so not necessarily INT gated.

As you're kind of making Bows two handed weapons (which they are) could Power Attack work for them and the enhancements that improve Power Attack as well. Would add some more build options and punch.
