Iconic Eladrin Chaosmancer​

Iconic Traits​

  • 1st level in Wild Mage Sorcerer
  • +2 Dexterity
  • Fey Ancestry: You have Immunity to sleep spells and effects, gain a +2 saving throw bonus against enchantment spells or effects, and have a +2 racial bonus to Listen, Search, and Spot.
  • Wild Magic Fey: Your fey nature grants you Wild Magic. When you cast spells, you have a small chance to have additional strange effects occur around you. These effects very greatly from helpful, dangerous to just silly. Grants a +5% chance of gaining a Wild Surge every time you cast a spell. Wild Surges will also manifest over time passively. Wild Surges do not occur in public spaces.
  • Seasonal Affinity: At level 1, gain access to 4 Seasonal feats. You may switch Seasonal affinity once every 10 minutes.
    • Spring Affinity: You gain +1 Charisma.
    • Summer Affinity: You gain +1 Strength.
    • Autumn Affinity: You gain +1 Wisdom.
    • Winter Affinity: You gain +1 Intelligence.

Iconic Past Life​

  • Iconic Past Life Active: Fey Step: Disappear and reappear several feet in front of you. You have maximum charges equal to your number of Eladrin Wild Mage past lives.
  • Passive: You gain +3 Universal Spell Power per stack of this past life, for a maximum of +9 Universal Spell Power.

Cores​

  • Core 1 - Wild Magic I: You gain a +2 bonus to your Wild Surge Luck, increasing your chances of positive outcomes.
  • Core 2- +1 Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma
  • Core 3 - Wild Magic II: Your Wild Surge Luck bonus is increased to 3.
  • Core 4 - +1 Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma
  • Core 5 - Wild Magic III: Your Wild Surge Luck bonus is increased to 5.

Tier 1​

  • Nothing Is Hidden: Your senses are so acute that you no longer need to spend time searching for the obvious. You will automatically perform a Search check to locate traps and secret doors when you are in range to Spot them, although this Search check occurs at a -12/-8/-4 penalty.

  • Fey Sight: While you have more than 100 Spell Points, you can see things as they truly are. You are able to see invisible creatures and pierce illusions.

Tier 4​

  • Spring Storm - A spell-Like Ability that creates dark storm cloud over the target which blasts it and nearby enemies with lightning for 1 to 6 +2 electric damage for every caster level. If targets are immune to electric damage they become vulnerable to it for 15 seconds. Max caster level 20. Evocation DC using the highest of Intelligence, Charisma or Wisdom. Can only be used if you have Spring Affinity Active.
  • Scorching Summer - A spell-Like Ability that sends out a blast of fire from the caster striking nearby enemies for 1 to 6 +2 fire damage for every caster level. If targets are immune to fire damage they become vulnerable to it for 15 seconds. Max caster level 20. Evocation DC using the highest of Intelligence, Charisma or Wisdom. Can only be used if you have Summer Affinity Active.
  • Autumn Decay: A spell-Like Ability that sends out a wind of acidic decay from the caster striking nearby enemies for 1 to 6 +2 acid damage for every caster level. If targets are immune to acid damage they become vulnerable to it for 15 seconds. Max caster level 20. Evocation DC using the highest of Intelligence, Charisma or Wisdom. Can only be used if you have Autumn Affinity Active.
  • Winter Hail: A spell-Like Ability that pounds a location with hail causing 1 to 6 +2 cold damage for every caster level. If targets are immune to cold damage they become vulnerable to it for 15 seconds. Max caster level 20. Evocation DC using the highest of Intelligence, Charisma or Wisdom. Can only be used if you have Winter Affinity Active.
For the T4 spell-like abilities, can it make targets vulnerable to each affinity's secondary element as well? For instance, Spring Storm would grant both electric and sonic bypass for 15 seconds. An additional idea would be to split the ability's damage, so that it does 1d3 +1 of each:
  • Spring Storm - A spell-Like Ability that creates dark storm cloud over the target which blasts it and nearby enemies with 1d3+1 electric and 1d3+1 sonic damage for every caster level. If targets are immune to electric or sonic damage they become vulnerable to it for 15 seconds. Max caster level 20. Evocation DC using the highest of Intelligence, Charisma or Wisdom. Can only be used if you have Spring Affinity Active.

Oh look, a new elf race. Is that 5 now (Elf, Wood Elf, Morning Lord (elf), Half-elf, Eladrin)? Or is that 6 now (Drow, Elf, Wood Elf, Morning Lord (elf), Half-elf, Eladrin)?

I hope the new content is more interesting than the new race offered with it.

Known Issues:

  1. Eladrin Iconic Fey Step isn't suppose to have a multiselector- Trying to buy this enhancement opens a multi selector which shows 3 copies of the same thing. It's not suppose to have a multi selector, just select the left most option and it'll work fine.

  2. Eladrin Iconic Core Strings are incorrect on cores 1,3,5 - They give a summary of what they do but their titles are wrong and they don't list the Wild Luck Surge bonus values they give.

  3. Auto train to 15 path spells missing some adjustments in this build, (burning hands should be color spray, and prismatic ray is missing)

Why are negative and poison spell powers suddenly separated?

Does this mean Light spell power in Minor Summer attunement does not include alignment/chaos as well?

Well nice for Warlock/Wizard/Cleric/FVS get immunity bypass for one wild mage level or +1 heart.

Also potentially useful for imbue builds.
That's what I was thinking as well. I was planning on my main's last life being a Tiefling fiend pact warlock for the immunity stripping even though I prefer cold and acid warlocks. I'll likely do this instead and just swap out the wild mage level.

Are the Major <Season> Attunement meant to have a Min level 4 requirement?
No other racial tree has an min level requirements for tiered enhancements.

Almost every secondary spellpower for each Season could have huge QoL build opportunities by granting strip for those spell types. A lot of neat PM/DA options from Winter, VC/DL using poison, SB with sonic. I'm kind of afraid of granting light immunity but still, you get the drift.

Additional thought:
Could we get a secondary seasonal attunement stance if you're a warlock to let you swap your pact damage type to match your season?

Might open some interesting build choices for AotS/Abyss warlocks.

That would definitely be overboard I think. 2 strips for 1? No other class has the ability to strip two for one. Putting it in a racial, available to any class? That would be inquisitor level broken.

Then perhaps making the enhancement give two versions of the spell would be a nice middle ground. I'd definitely love to have a negative immunity stripper for dealing with undead for instance.

Could we get a T3 or T4 multiselector with access to Arcane Archer (like every elf) or Season's Herald? Personally I'd err toward just SH thematically but I think a multiselector for a racial use of those trees could be a neat inclusion.

Is the iconic supposed to have elf weapon proficiencies? If so, they seem to be missing. If not, maybe switch the weapons provided in the level 15 package to something sorcerers are proficient with (currently it's a pair of longswords) - maybe a scepter/orb combo would be more fitting?

The cores are currently Int/Cha/Dex selection, not Int/Cha/Wis. The options indicated in the notes would be the right way to do this (offering Wisdom), otherwise Int- and Cha-based casters have a distinct advantage over Wis-based casters. Please put them all on equal footing.

If you consider that iconics seem to be there to drive +1 heart sales the completely whack pairing of a dex based iconic elven sorcerer (along side the int/dex based sunelf cleric), sadly makes a lot of sense. :(
