I kinda want the past life for this Iconic.

However, if they're going to charge stupid money to get the Iconic, I'll wait till it's available for ddo points.

The cores are currently Int/Cha/Dex selection, not Int/Cha/Wis. The options indicated in the notes would be the right way to do this (offering Wisdom), otherwise Int- and Cha-based casters have a distinct advantage over Wis-based casters. Please put them all on equal footing.

It's hard when you clearly copy/paste a tree to remember to go back and make sure you didn't leave anything from the old one.

My son tested this and said light/alignment spellpower are not affecting/scaling the Chaotic spellpower of this iconic has anyone else tested this and noticed? Is this a bug or are they really going to separate out all the alignment spell powers to further force us to specialize gear with increased aggravation? ?

So i am intrigued and disappointed at the same time. Can't wait to try it out BUT

the immunity stripping ahhhhh!
- it's on an iconic so restrictions apply
- the current version don't cover all damage types

It would have been, imho, far more elegant to provide the immunity stripping to the season of choice nomatter if heroic or iconic eladrin.

It would be far better to provide sets of immunity stripping:

fire/alignment/positive
Acid/poison/negative
Cold/water/physical
Electric/sonic

and while i'm raging internally, give us a new ED that focuses on Force and Alignment to cover some archetypes as well as force. I have a draft of such an ED which took me about 2 hours to complete = it needs balancing but fills in many of the current holes; gotta keep my imagination active!

My first grain of sand.
The initial equipment have dodge twice, in the trinket and in the armor, maybe one of the two could be insightful or another source of dodge? at least be different plz, also having the weapons being long sword feel weird because the class and race are not proficient with long sword so they show the exclamation point, for someone new to the game this could be troubling, the weapon type should change or give the race or the class long sword proficiency.

I think throwing out the iconic gear is one of the later steps of making an iconic.

It's some of the only named gear in game that unnamed loot can compete with.

Well, that and the trash named gear from GH and necro4.

For us the ppl that been playing the game for years, but for someone new, this is either helpful or at least won't be a source of "why would they give me this stats twice?, does it stack? but if it doesn't then why? they should know better.. blah blah blah

Quick question: sorcerer tree is VERY old and got a ton of useless/outdated stuff like WATERBREATHING (T4 in water savant) or EARTHEN ARMOR (T4 acid savant). Could we get some kind of update (for God's sake, not a nerf!) into these boring trees?

Hey folks, thank you for this round of feedback. I just wanted to give you a quick update on a few changes we are looking at as a result....

Iconic Eladrin changes

  1. Wild Magic Cores I, 3, & 5 ap costs go down from 2 to 1
  2. Remove preq from Arcanum and Chaos Control II (they can be bought independently now)
  3. Make the Iconic's base stat bonus Charisma
Misc Adjustment - Your Wild Surge Roll is.....

The Damage effects that occur in Prismatic Spray and Ray will be updated to now all do 1d6+7 per caster level.

what exactly does this mean? is the new surge the 1d6+7 thing or is that added into the WM tree in t3 where the d6 damage used to be?
It means were buffing the damage of the existing spells prismatic spray and prismatic ray. (The surge roll bit was just theme window dressing to the bullet point)

Any chance for considering having the T4 SLA's provide two versions of the spells for each alignment? Having the Winter spell strip negative immunity for instance would be a great versatility tool for Negative builds; PM, DA, DD, Abysslock, Magus, or Shadow DI.
