The Eladrin is a Feywild denizen attuned to Seasonal magic. They are fey creatures in the form of elves. Mechanically, they are an elemental generalist, great at most forms of combat, with the ability to specialize into their seasonal abilities to further customize their combat prowess. The Iconic is a Wild Mage Sorcerer, whose seasonal affinity lends a unique bend to their elemental spell casting.

Really enjoyed getting to build one of these on last night's preview. The amount of options for how to design your characters look are very impressive. My one suggestion to improve that would be to add a colour bar for the facial markings as they aren't very visible with some skin colours and it would be nice to be able to make them "pop" more as tattoos/ritual scarrings etc should, such marks are meant to be seen after all.

Should Spring/Summer/Fall/Winter Attunement be considered active if you have a related Monk Stance active?
  • Air Stance -> Consider Spring active
  • Fire Stance -> Consider Summer active
  • Earth Stance -> Consider Autumn active
  • Water Stance -> Consider Winter active

What can change the nature of a man ?
Would like to see Fey Step in action, do you disappear in a puff of smoke and reappear a few meters ahead?

personally i think this race looks quite good, but it needs a few numbers adjustments to be competitive. for example, aasimar is the top race because of its 10 mp, vul stacking, and hamp. i think this tree should get at the bare minimum some mp/rp.
  • i think thematically it would be cool if your stance gave you +5 resist to the elements of the season (to help low levels)
  • I feel fey step buff should have a slightly longer duration, maybe 12 seconds
  • summer step should give +1 damage per 2 character levels
  • spring step should ignore dodge cap
  • currently summer and autumn attunement are just worse than the other 2 due to regular to hit being better than sneak attack to hit or seeker. I suggest just making it 2/4/6 SA to hit and seeker for t2
  • I also suggest making t3 summer and autumn 2/4/6 as well
  • make all the major attunements give +5 MP/RP (and only when stance is turned on, so you cant get them all active at once)
  • add to skill +5 MP/RP to match aasimar 10 mp (aasimar will still be better in a lot of cases due to the 60 hamp
  • change lesser vigor to greater vigor (or vigor to match other races, but I think they all should be greater)
  • change longstrider to a crown of summer clicky or fire shield
  • change blur to displacement

The t4 spells are very lackluster. Maybe if they were a t2...but the top of the tree should be something much more appealing for all those pts.

Longstrider - Used to be completely useless, but now at least it has a very rare place in quests with shallow water, but it's also so infrequent that scrolling it isn't an issue.

Blur - Lots of gear has blur on it at low lv. Super not worth the pts, and if you have a ton of racial AP you're really not hurting for blur at lv 1-2.

Lesser Vigor - Super weak

Nightshield - The only useful one, but also a bit expensive. I don't see any of my guys ever spending that many pts unless they have a ton of racial AP. I don't like wanding shield every quest/rest, but I'd totally do it to save 15 AP lol.

At face value it looks nice. However spending a lot of points for nightshield (all of T 4) is a wasted slot. T1 looks good wwith Fey Step. beyond that is just another elf.

T1 very strong, T2 very weak. T3 strong, T4 very weak. I like it, finally a race I can use with my racial points! (I am only tall enough to ride T1.)

I love dex builds, but this race does not seem to fit in with itself. A dex build that has spell focusers as character build tree options? It's like this race is designed for the iconic re-interpretation, but the base race needs more spice.

The enhancement I find exciting( or new) is Fey Step, but that excitement is crushed b/c of the charges. Also, it's going be hard for me to slot Fey Step on hot bars b/c of these limited charges. 5 charges of 10 second abilities should be mind blowing OR maybe make the last tier of charges include a 120 second clock to regain a charge.

Again, I personally love dex builds, but do not want another Dex racial past life...it's not balanced if you consider the following:
AbilityPast Life Bonuses
Strength+1
Dexterity+4
Constitution+2
Intelligence+2
Wisdom+2
Charisma+3

One problem with this is that seasons have a 10 minute cooldown, but changing monk stances can be done much faster.

It’s +3 damage not +3 dice. At least that’s how I read it.
If it were just damage then they would have used the word Damage instead of Dice. And then it would be worse than the Summer which has the same value added but is always applicable not just on Sneak Attack. And Summer's extra dmg is subject to crit muliplier. Dice it has to be. Up to 9 extra SA dice from autumn.
