Lamordia Fortification - Seriously?

DDO has so many exceptions and weird behaviours that even different types of traps may act differently. Normally spells snapshot their DC, spellpower etc. on cast but I can't say for sure.

My suggestion to find out is this:
  1. Get a friend or alt account
  2. PVP them
  3. Ask your friend what the number of the save was on their dice roll with gear on vs gear off for your traps
When you figure out the sweet spot between fail and save, that's a true indication of the DC.
I never really have done PVP since maybe Cap was 20. Can you place Traps in those Taverns?

I can do things others can't...

You need to go into the PvP Arenas, you can get there by speaking to one of the NPC's near the PvP Tavern Areas.

I'd do this test if I had more time, but super busy today.

I think upping difficulty by excessive gear check % random rolls like DC is just needlessly frustrating to players. Inflating mob hp, damage (melee and ranged), as well as adding new damage mechanics is good, but nobody enjoys random streaks of feeling completely helpless.

For non-IK CC they could probably mostly just scale the duration down to seconds.

I was wondering if you could put Traps in the PVP areas? I know you can fight people but never knew you could place Traps on them?

Not the Tavern Brawl areas, but you can in the PVP arenas.
This is honestly the easiest way to check effects are working properly. Know that certain player races can be immune to effects and some spells or abilities are lessened or disabled in PVP for 'balance'.

How:
  1. Click on the player you want to PVP and select their cogs
  2. Click 'Challenge Party' (make sure you are not in the same group as them otherwise it won't work)
  3. Set options in dialog and 'Start Challenge' (both players need to accept to continue)
Make sure to choose the biggest time so you don't get randomly kicked out. 'The Stash' is probably the better arena (The Pit crashed last time I tried it lol).
