Lanterns in the Mist Event

Since the Lanterns progress as you level, then at what level do you need to be to max them out?

If so then that's one of the first things after levelling to say L4 or so.
Just to get some cloaks.

There will be player death announcements for those with skull lanterns.

Really annoyed that I can't pick up new skull lanterns after level one, I accidentally only picked up one not realizing that I'd be screwed if I finished that one and wanted to do more. I can't see any good reason for this, either, presumably if you had the others you could swap them out and you'd only potentially lose the equipped one if you die, so why on earth not let people just pick up new ones any time?

Equipped or not, any skull lanterns you have go poof when you die.

Ah ok that's making a little more sense then. It would make perfect sense, then, if you could get a new one when you traded in a completed one.

Ask the npc you turned in for the certificate. One of the options is to get the rewards. Mounts are not applied automatically.

There are lantern npcs in the same place for normal servers.
