Omg I thought this was only me after I built my new PC. So annoying.
GogoI think everyone who has done a fresh install since late last year has this issue.
We need people to be more vocal. I will post every month or so about it.
Orrrr NSEW on the mini map!Gogo
Let's see if this or my Monster Manual gets fixed first
We should start a Dead Horse Beaters ClubOrrrr NSEW on the mini map!

I volunteer to be the President of said club, or at least VP if public support overwhelmingly selects you.We should start a Dead Horse Beaters Club
Some additional things to try, while waiting for an official response :
Someone having similar issues with Lord of the Rings Online managed to work around it with some network tweaks : https://forums.lotro.com/index.php?threads/stuck-on-44-at-download.612/
Someone having issues with that same third-party dll in a non-SSG game managed to track it down to antivirus software not liking it : https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/1/648814845681724213
I don't want to make fun of what you say but this is where the meme "First time?" has to be inserted. It would be a joke if it was funny. So, 4 months later and still no response. I have tried installing through steam, installing from the web, anti-virus on/off, etc. Worse, the game will not remember any launcher settings. I have to accept the EULA every day, see the stupid intro video, resize my screen, and of course download some files, just to play. So, please spend some time fixing your installer, this is basic 101 stuff. Hoe can I trust a new 64 bit server when the team cant make an installer work?
Have you tried logging as admin THEN downloading? That's NOT the same as running as admin. And most software require admin level rights to download and installSo, 4 months later and still no response. so...you logged in as admin before downloading the game? I'm asking because the game needs C++ files and thus admin level accessHow do you do this?
I have done the Run As Admin and it doesnt work.
My Windows login is an Admin account too.
The fix surely is for SSG to update their installer to contain all the files needed ans to ensure they install correctly.
This could be done any time there is an update but they dont care about new people.
the launcher always checks what software is on your system before downloading any updates. this ensures the launcger doesn;t download the entire game everytime a gaming update has been deployed. The fix surely is for SSG to update their installer to contain all the files needed ans to ensure they install correctly.

This is universal and unrelated to new/existing gamers
