After this morning’s run will add Smash and Burn specifically when lag is bad. You make the puzzles irreparable pretty quickly because you stutter step onto the wrong pillar, jumping from lamp to lamp becomes well nigh impossible, and the Halflings that aggro in from far and wide get really difficult to off when you are all of a sudden behind a pillar and then all of a sudden not or are you oh wait you fell off a ledge and are likely to be eaten by a grue

I was surprised to see Spinner of Shadows appear so frequently on this post. I didn't realize that was such a hated quest. It inspired me to do a solo walkthrough on stream the other day. I offer tips and tactics that may make it less despised for some...

Thanks for showing how to do this easier solo :)

I think the main reason people dislike this quest (me included) is probably because it takes so long (19 mins in your video...) with two unskippable cutscenes. Xp is too low for how long it takes, grouping speeds it up a little, farming both sides for shards at once, still tedious.

Another one, the Demon Web series. 6 times tonight, enter, no bridge, recall, reset, it took to get the bridge to the first quest. That's just silly.

We only do the first one because of this, the rest we VIP and Shard for the Saga.

With mounts now you don't need to have the bridge. Jump straight and there is a quick path to the first quest. Most times faster than trying to get the bridge.

Don't do recall, just jump into the void as many times as necessary. It doesn't take that long to land in the right place.

The two best landing spots are on the Reclaiming the Rift ramp, and next to note 36, which is very close to Trial.

That's good advise to work around the problem.

However it would be optimal if the bridges in the Demonweb were adjusted to always let you easily get to the quests, if you know the general direction you need to go. It sounds like a small update to ensure that right-hand bridge is always there could help a lot!

If you go straight jumping across the void, when you see torches follow them. That path is always there.

Isle of dread suffers from the same problems as feywild: amazing landscapes and deeply frustrating gaming experience. I recalled out of the ancient temple [in stone crypt] after realizing I needed to case "detect secret doors"...whilst underwater.

to SSG: kindly create gaming experiences first. you can add the cutey landscapes later

Silly question: would a regular use of the Search skill have found the door? Search works underwater and usually mandatory doors have a low enough DC for anyone to find them.

That is for an optional, not part of the main quest.

I used to hate Through a Mirror Darkly, but now it's Times Long Past. All the switching from 1 reality to another and confusing false doors unless you're on the other side. Just plain annoying and frustrating.

Forward or Back I use whatever portal is most immediate and the quest becomes pretty much linear then.
I hate quests where you have to find crests in random places all the time.

You only need to do that for the optional (detect to get to the named wight and chest) pretty sure the lever makes the crest available

2nd - it's still an MMO game, if you can't do it, let your party members do it. It's only your fault if you choose to play MMORPG game solo, not the game's one.

1st - you don't need to detect that door - it's just an optional, not the part of the main quest.

I can do things others can't...
Back to Basics, Into the Mists, A Sharn Welcome, Members Only, Safety In Numbers, Knight that cried Windmill, Lost at Sea, and Witch Hunt.

You can probably guess why... :ROFLMAO:

I failed to find the secret door at the end of the Claw of Vulkor as my search was too low.
