How... how has this item now mistakenly been reported as being added to loot tables twice when it should have been there when the pack released a month ago?

Leaving items out of loot tables by mistake isn't exactly a new thing, but there comes a point at which this becomes genuinely worrying.

So how many shards have players lost in rerolls? 8x15, so at least 120 per chest reset, plus how many weeks/alts etc? It is staggering to think about and I would be very angry if affected.

Amazing! I had very limited time to play yesterday but the couple hours I had it devoted to ransacking that chest looking for the ring. So 3 hours of my life, plus 24 chest rerolls worth of shards... so much fun!

Empirical evidence thus far indicates SSG gives pretty much zero fcares and isn't going to do anything about it on their side.

Best thing players can do with these new loot mechanics, is to not roll for loot chances. I know it sucks when you want something, but you did just fine without the item up to this point. Just be patient and let it come naturally.

If this ring doesn't hit on update 80, Cordovan is going to have ddo players that now look like Gollum hiding in the bushes outside his house looking for thier Precious.

This ring seems pretty bad to me. I mean, yeah, it has a new unique DC bonus. But not part of any set, no sun or moon slot.

What would actually be cool, is a Keylock Ring type of DC item with:
Legendary Spell Focus
Profane Spell Focus
Quality Spell Focus
Sacred Spell Focus
Insightful Spell Focus
Spell Focus

And swap out that silly colorless aug slot for a yellow one, so you could slot a DC aug.
Add in either a sun or moon slot. And then that would be pretty interesting.

So uh, I try and defend SSG about this stuff sometimes, but your TOS absolutely would not protect you here from needing to refund any shard rerolls made on this quest. This would be crazy inappropriate not to refund, your company absolutely cannot charge for something that you didn't properly disclose via official channels cannot drop

If any of you spent shards on this: The company absolutely, positively must make you whole. Submit a ticket and politely but firmly remind them that you cannot offer a MTX transaction for a bugged or otherwise damaged good irregardless of what weasel language you put in a EULA somewhere.

You are utterly disillusioned if you think that the SSG staff sat at the corporate table planning to steal peoples astral shard rerolls by not having an item drop not as intended by broken code. If you knew anything about the industry you would know that this is not the way things work. I wont go as far as to call it an illness as you have in other threads.

I guess people in glass houses shouldnt throw stones, kettle pot whatever.
