Legendary Greensteel Crafting Question

Brand new to Greensteel Crafting. On my guild's airship we have greensteel crafting room. I was able to create a weapon blank. But when I went to the altar and tried to put in my legendary small arrowheads, the altar spit them out. I would appreciate some help in understanding what's happening/what I'm doing wrong. Thanks.

The Alter of Fecundity is where you make the blanks/base items. There are a few recipes in there as well for things like Radiant Forcefield Clickies.

The alters in the raid are where you combine the base mats into gems / focuses / essences.

Those gems, focuses and essences are then combined to create the augments that will go into the LGS base item blank.

Most of those augments are also created in the alters within the raid, but as mentioned, some can be created at the alter of fecundity, but the main effect augments are all done inside the raid.

Tier 1 gems, focuses, essences, and augments are crafted at the Alter of Invasion at the end of phase 1 of the raid.
Tier 2 gems, focuses, essences, and augments are crafted at the Alter of Subjugation at the end of phase 3 of the raid.
Tier 3 gems, focuses, essences, and augments are crafted at the Alter of Devastation at the end of the entire raid.

The other alters that are in the airship are for heroic greensteel crafting.

So yeah, base item blanks are made outside the riad at the alter of fecundity, most of the actual crafting though is done inside the raid itself.

There are several planners out there to help with crafting but most are for heroic. I am not sure if there is a legendary version out there. But here is the DD Wiki page to break it down for you.

Hope that helps. It can be a long road but very worth it. I have an ooze spitting bow that drops little blobs all over the place. Great distraction for sneak attacks.

Ah!! So the ship can only work heroic green steel. I was trying to make legendary. And this is a really helpful explanation of the whole process. Thank you

I finally got to research the ooze effect. That looks like a blast to play! So the oozes get aggro/attention and you get more sneak attack opportunities?

Depends what your build is and what your looking for sneak attacks gold dagger off hand might be better

Ooze not good on some raids or groups multiples won't stack

Yup. If you're soloing, it can be great chaotic fun. Make sure you have negative threat gen so aggro stays on the fluctuating ooze army and go nuts.

But as DBZ mentioned, when in raids / some groups, summons can be quite detrimental, so if you do make an LGS Ooze weapon, be sure to have an alternate for when you're in raids / those groups.

(in raids, controlling enemy placement and enemy facing can actually matter, and sometimes you want to be able to control other things such as when bosses drop below specific HP thresholds. Summons that you can't control that change enemy aggro makes it very difficult to do all of that)
