Level 20/21 epic reincarnation gear set up

1st of all, if someone has already worked this out, thank you in advance.

I just got back into the game, and I am going to do all my epic reincarnations. So level 20/21 gear is all that I will be wearing for lots and lots of lives. as soon as I get to 30 rinse and repeat. I am coming up with epic salt marsh stuff combined with a the borderlands. right now I am pk dark gnome, probably stay that. unless there is something that is just way better. I was trying to figure out the sands gear or the red fens gear combined with the chronoscope and just got completely lost in the weeds. I would love to maximize this gear set up as I am in a good group that will be doing (30 runs from 20 to 30") I dont think I will switch out much all the way to 30 unless there is one or 2 items during the level ups. maybe 24 and a scepter at 29?

Wait, you're planning on doing multiple ER's before you TR or ITR? That sounds exceptionally painful. Most people only do 2 ER's at the most before they TR or ITR, due to how much the experience is reduced for previously completed quests.

For a caster, I like using the caster items from the Cannith Challenges. When upgraded to tier 3, the ML20 gear is stronger than raid tier loot (equivalent to ML23). Plus they are a good way to get spell power/crit in slots that are not weapons.

They involve a lot of grinding however, and the kobold challenges are currently semi-broken due to crippled kobold AI. If you already have these items though, that's not a problem.

There's enough content now to do 3 ETR's without suffering much. However for a new player that's a big investment before they know if they like the game or not.

That's got to be the fastest way to progress at this point unless you buy a stack of boxes to do racials in a hurry.

Epic diabolist rings have the same hp buff as ring of baphomet, and wearing two gives your summons +8 abilities

Epic Diabloist Rings have merit. At this point of the game they may be faster to get than the Epic Ring of Baphomet (3 runs of Epic Chronoscope and a couple of Against the Demon Queen vs an unknown amount of runs in Chains of Flame). The reasons I don't use them:

• I made my gearset before Legendary Chronoscope came out and haven't seen enough reason to adjust it much to incorporate the Epic Diabloist Ring
• I'd have to slot +STR and +Sheltering somewhere. Not a big deal as I have available augment slots, but still something I'd have to consider
• Alignment Absorption is kinda handy for a few quests in Epic, such as the damage in Spinner of Shadows, all the Divine Punishment tossed out by Drow Priestesses, etc
• I find that by the time I reach Epic, my need for hirelings dwindles. I make fair use of the 1 Astral Shard Rogue Riana and keep Greater Heroism and Prayer on hand for most Heroic locks, but Level 21 Rogue Lilo Blackstitch doesn't seem to need to much help from the Epic Diabloist Set to get the Epic locks (such as House of Death Undone or Legendary Subversion)
• I tend to play a lot of Blightcaster, Dark Apostate, and Alchemist. I get usage out of the Desert Starless Night's set bonus

I usually use some heroic hat with Reaper ability boost, 3-piece sharn gear (ml15), 3-piece epic abishai (ml20), and often 5-piece epic saltmarsh (ml20).
Occasionally other pieces, Epic Raven's Sight, Mysterious Cloak/Bracers, Epic Ring of the Stalker, other stuff.

Any build:
Sharn/Docks 3pc set
Sharn - Hallowed Castigators for both the Insightful Sheltering and the Devotion/Devotion Lore.
Keep on the Borderlands - Ring/Belt of X Vanity, where X corresponds to your primary stat
Keep on the Borderlands - Boots of Tranquility
Keep on the Borderlands - primary/secondary

If melee/ranged:
Keep on the Borderlands - Pendant of Combat
Keep on the Borderlands - Serrated Arrowhead
Keep on the Borderlands - Whispering Ring

You can use Vecna or KotB items to fill out the rest of the slots. Plenty of options there depending on your build.

Yes, most KotB items are ML21. If you're doing back to back epic reincarnations then there are plenty of sagas you can prep so you can take level 21 immediately after reincarnating.

Have a Sheltering 24 aug slotted somewhere in there, primarily for the MRR.

I have Cannith Crafted ML1 Goggles of True Seeing and Persuasion that have a colorless aug slotted with Master's Gift. They work in any build, and are still fine for epic leveling if you dont want to craft a second Master's Gift. I also have CC ML20 goggles with Evocation 4 and Insightful Evocation 2 with a yellow slot for Topaz of Evocation for nukers. If you get a double augment goggle, you can also slot Diamond of Exceptional <STAT> +1. I either use an Epic Voice of the Master or slot Master's Gift elsewhere if I'm a nuker.

For any sort of evo caster TRs, this is what I use from 20-30.

Swap the primary weapon to whatever Epic BL sceptre covers your primary spell damage type.

This set covers most of the basic spellcasting stats. It also gives four set bonuses - Esoteric Initiate, Epic Might of the Abishai, Epic Elder's Knowledge, and Epic Saltmarsh Explorer. It might not be min/max'd to the Nth degree, but it's more than good enough to easily cruise to 30 on R1+.

I put it together while running a bunch of Charisma based caster TRs, but it's good enough to work for Wisdom or Intelligence too using stat augs. Swap out the Anthem and the Feather falling (on the ring).

Belt compete with Abishai set belt and Abishai is better for any build exclude INT because set bonus.

Keep on the Borderlands - Serrated Arrowhead

Compete with Epic GoMF, GoMF much better because 3pc best set for your build and best Curse for your build.

Usual "perfect" setup for epic: 5pc Saltmarsh, 3pc Abishai, 3pc Epic GoMF double set, Crown of Butterflies/Helm of the Sun's Wrath/Helm of the Warblade for Melee build, Crown of Snow for Casters, and 2 more slot for something add your build.

Epic Darkstorm Helm clickie for nice AoE. 8)

Skip the Borderlands stuff, do a 3 piece Abashai set instead. Profane Sheltering, Well Rounded, and Spell Focus is excellent for a 3 piece set.
Also, Epic Might of the Abishai can be paired with a Red Fens set via the Epic Gem of Many Facets. Your casters could benefit from an Epic Elder's Focus set.

 

[QuantumFX]

Also, the Epic Sapphire Studded Belt from "Kind of a Big Deal" is worth your time to farm. It's an hour of Shield spell for any build that can't cast it.
