Hey Lominal, Question for you about your Pally Tank Build. Under Heavy Downcast Cloak you have "
Downcast Heavy cloak (q fire absorb/ins mrr/accuracy/con 15" marked. I know the Accuracy and Con are Melancholic and Dolorous crafted, but which is which? With 15 Con Melancholic Crafting on it, that would only give you Dolorous Accuracy which I think is +5? Just trying to make sense of it. thanks.

As your Guide for the Pally Tank is built around Aasimar, do you think Aasimar is superior to Dwarf, or was that just a personal preference? I know you suggest both for different reasons, I was just curious.

For paladin? the sacred % from Aasimar doesn't stack with the sacred % from SaD core 5. That said, the extra prr, mrr and hamp goes a long way (DoV hydra debuffs ~ 250 Hamp). I think both function fine, but Aasimar works much better on lower life toons (you need a fair few points to make the dwarf mark give radiant, healing hands is nice) as the prr/mrr means more the less you have (and hp scales off prr/mrr). I would go with personal preference for a pally tank, Aasimar for anything but pally.

IMO dwarf makes a better pally tank & Aasimar makes a better fighter tank, if you have xpac AP tomes either can fit what you need.

Eg dwarf pally tank 14 ap race, 41 defender, 31 vistani = 86 ap, although some might have different AP split preferences.

I was taking a look at the fvs healer and noticed a few things.

1. If going the dc casting route, rather than taking the 3 evo sf line, wouldnt wiz pl*, embolden, and heighten be strictly better*? (Its the same +3 dc, except to all spell schools, as well as boosting soundburst, command, etc to 9th lvl. (*requires one pl but its really easy with the reduced xp requirements. *Technically one sf evo could be used over heighten to bring implosion and celestial bombardment up +1 dc, but the tradeoff on the other spells doesnt seem worth it.)

2. Enlarge is taken, but looks to be granted through fatesinger. That feat could instead be one sf evo or great charisma if at an odd cha.

3. If not going the dc route and instead taking the shield prof line (with lamordia dcs, can the dcs even be hit without some pl? The loss of 3 evo, 3 necro, the spell pen (how important is spell pen?) Seems rough, those few are the low hanging fruit, not to mention the loss of destiny points and those 3+ dc. In light of that, wouldnt going wisdom be better than charisma for the extra 50ish positive sp?

I ditched the MT line and also picked up Enlarge through Fatesinger in order to fit PL: Wizard, Embolden, Heighten, and Shield Mastery (so you can take perfect SM instead of perfect TWF). I still ended up with over 5K spellpoints, and with the PA mantle I solo heal raids up to r1 without ever running out of spellpoints. If I had the racial AP and gear, I would probably pick up MT for the SP and crit chance.

thats about what I ended up using:
5 pc sanc fervour (its 14 MP when you smite for 1 min)
4 pc dread
2 pc treachery (threat reduction)

fill it out with long shadow or next fall or other MP stuff

Hey Lom, curious to know if you have any staff builds?
There aren't any THF builds for cap that cant be improved by making them swf/twf. I played around a while back with staves, and found that 18 ftr/ 2 rogue tended to be the best option (maximized MP+ base dmg, still kept quick strike + evasion). I could se a 2 monk split doing well with the current version

Hi Lominal,

Thank you so much for your extenisve builds and information. I have a quick question.

I run a very similar build to your FVS Inquisitive build. You have 2 epic strikes chosen. One of which has an aoe element.

Do you have a preference on which you use more liberally? I am going to assume the Fatesinger Epic Strike is more the primary due to all the sonic synergy in the tree/build. Or do you mix them both in rotationally during/depending on the fight?

I am forever learning in this game and am simply unsure on this one.

Thank you again!!!
