Looking for a self healing DPS Tank Build

Hello,

My main goal is to be able to fill the Main tank role on Legendary Hard but still do good DPS.
I want the build to be able to solo at least R7 in decent time. R8 would be great. It should have self heals good enough for raids. Healing in combat in R7 might be asking too much, but as long as it can clear the mobs and kill the boss smoothly.

I've been looking at a lot of builds but I'm still undecided.
-Would a basic pure 20 Paladin with KOTC primary, Sacred Defender secondary work for this purpose?
-Also haven't been able to find a Bear Druid build but open to that idea if it fulfills my goals.
-I'm currently looking at Melee Artificer using Zvdgor's build but adding more Threat to fulfill Main tank role.

The toon has alot of heroic and epic past lives, 105 reaper points, but only 7 racials.

18druid/1fvs/fighter, or 12d/8barb bear easily does this.

I love bear tanks, you can just solo content whenever you want because of all the DPS baked into bear, and because you're so tanky you can do high reaper and not really pay any attention.

Have tank/dps gear swaps and you are golden.

What are the basics for 18 druid bear 1 fvs 1 x build?

Is Vistani Kukri + Large Shield good? Or THF? Shield would give more bonuses from Unyielding sentinel but T5 wont give extra Hp bonus since no religious lore.

Shifter best race or PDK Maul?

Does Natural fighting + THF feat line stack strikthrough bonuses? Or not worth it?

What would be a basic Enhancement tree and Destiny tree setup be?
T5 Natures protector, T5 Fury, T4 Unyielding Sentinel?

Sure. I think it's better on 12/8 because you can leverage flight from NW and uncanny dodge from barbarian for some hugely good dodge. IMO 18/1/1 is better with tower but I am definitely no bear expert.

What are you smoking?

Beasthide shifter certainly adds a lot of defences, PDK maul needs 6 divine levels (can't be pally with druid levels) for the silvanus crit range.
Race is kinda YMMV, I went dwarf last time I did it for forcefields & more damage as I was using dwarven axe & shield.

I don't know sorry, although if memory serves natural fighting & shield mastery stack and work in animal form, but it has been a while.

I went up to throw your weight around in dwarf, all but mrr stance t5's in bear, core 5 in NW, basic wis trance. There are probably better ways to do it.
I think I went t5 sentinel, t4 fury, t3 DC

re: THF - Ah i think i got it, its just a prereq. for some other abilities like Mad munitions and Angry arms (+20, +20), but i dont think they stack.

Re: Unyielding. Oops! got that mixed up with something in Crusader.

BTW, what weapon setup did you go with?

Make it easy on yourself lvl 20 paladin. Look at Mechgrabbers thread in the class's forums.
