Greetings!
I started playing DDO over 15 years ago with a group of friends that I had been playing table-top with for over 25 years before that. We started a guild and, by the time of the server transfer, I was the only one still playing. (Yeah, ok, I'm old-ish!) I'm not a good player, but I played a LOT! (I couldn't play the game well, so I learned to enjoy playing it poorly.) I don't inflict myself on others in groups or raids so I mostly solo; thus, I don't have much raid experience or gear (except for the few pieces that my son was able to acquire when he played my toons!). BUT, I have three toons with MANY past lives. I'm writing for three reasons:
1) My guild didn't do the transfer so I would like to join a guild (I have three main toons and two occasional alts). Any 150+ guilds have room for a quiet, but friendly member with these five toons?;
2) I've played hundreds of lives solo on a limited set of toon types BUT, I'm ready to attempt raiding if there's a patient guild/party. If I play a healer, your party will die. If I play a tank, I will die... and then you will die. Same with bard/buffer. So, I thought I would hamster wheel into a ranged DD. Can someone please send a detailed build? (I guess with this "fight club thing, nobody is willing to give out good builds anymore?) Ideally, I would like it to be a quick, survivable soloer on low (LOW) reapers, but a toon that could contribute ranged DD above the pike level so that a raid party might let me play. Probably inquisitive with some blend of pally or FvS? I remember enjoying inquisitive.
3) A build for gear farming at cap. I have two toons for that now but they're long in the tooth. One is a swashbuckler - 18/1/1 Bard/Fighter/Cleric. Love it, but the damage isn't great and ranged opponents have their way with me. The other is a blightcaster that ruled through 32, but hit a wall after that.
If I'm ever able to help in a spontaneous group, donate mats, or whatever, I'll happily do so, but know that I'll be a soul stone fairly quickly.
Thanks for reading!
