There is some speculation about this new Epic Destiny that may come with Update 60.
Even if not that soon, its still useful to our community to trow out ideas to anticipate an unpleasant tree.
I personally belive that new EDs are what the game needs most now, not classes or archetypes, since i feel that all this new variety is narrowing in same EDs for gameplay, loosing their uniqueness.
Artificer is remarkable, since not having a specialized ED, it feels much like just another soccer at high levels if spellcasting, or a fighter if doing physical dmg. Theres no support for epic/legendary traps, flame turrets or new devices or repair spells.
I believe that an epic/legendary scaling for traps is much by now since they are completely useless past first lvs. A faster placement is needed to be functional in real-time battle (even if a cd is needed to compensate) and maybe a ranged placement via enhancement for artificers, dark hunters and rogues.
Spell-like traps work well (with the rogue enhancement) but they don't have variety. Some high-lv (with proper cd) spells should be at disposal like mass hold monster and wailing of the banshee (this should improve scroll trade in market A LOT).
A bit more force and fire spells (supported with an enhanced trap system) should be enough to make fire/force arti viable, that would be nice.
For the summoning side, we already have golem summons (that's for no reason give random types, this could be transformed in multi-selector ASAP), that should be moved to this new Macrotechnic tree, along with the same lv30 summons that primal has, but with a Flamethrower skin (making much more sense the lack of mobility anyway...) and maybe a force version with magic missiles barrage.
Much work has been done to make summons viable, and I believe they are something now. Running heroics in R1 with all possible improvements the summons can do some help and even tank most bosses. The dog is also able to knock down, working well. The integrated imbue system of dark hunter pet is also a good new feature, that gives a decent scaling dmg that players could invest. One or 2 few more epic goodies and arti pets and gadgets are fine.
If seriously giving pets some love, Sion of Elysium needs at least some offensive improvement, imbue dices to ameliorate possible pet dmg, with the dark hunter system in mind.\
Give more suggestions!
