ohhhhh mannnnn, seems (as of presently) FAQ says can't upgrade later....
so make sure u guys buy the bundle level u for sure want....
unless they allow upgrades later on

wait... but the https://www.ddo.com/expansions has "BUY or UPGRADE" button for Myth Drannor.... so is that button erroneous?

No. Players can purchase a higher tier bundle of Magic of Myth Drannor if they wish, but upgrade pricing is not available.

If so, that's a solid way to make sure I won't be buying even the base edition for a long time. The upgrade option is a great way to let people who can't afford the bonuses right away to get them later.

apologies if someone has already asked/answered but since I didn't see any info in the FAQ I'm asking here...What is the timeframe for "pre-purchase"? obv before it drops but how much time before it drops (end of july, right?) are we being given for the "pre-purchase" opp? 3 days, a week, 3 weeks? It would be helpful for thick skulls like me if this info was posted :)

I was paying $30 a month for a text based game almost 30 years ago. F2P is the worst thing that happened to online gaming.

Not understanding why these come up, it's like saying "rather buy 2 Hondas or Chevrolets instead of a Porsche"...

it's like OK, if you rather do that, then just do that, do people need to tell others your preferences that u rather buy 2 Brand New OK cars than a "Top-Tier" car?

also the question of "if they realize..." "overpriced"

is like asking "does Porsche, Bugatti, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel,..." realize that their price is....

the converse question would be "do you realize you're Not the target segment that they're selling the 'Top-Tier' item to?"

I hope the upgrade pricing comes in soon...

As a recently married man, my wife would not approve of me dropping $130 on a game. If I could do the $40 base game, then upgrade with the $100 gift/credit card I've been saving, that would be awesome. Or if you could do partial payments from 2 sources.

To wit, it can be manifestly observed across several threads already that many/significant group of people have pre-purchased Top-Tier Ultimate Fan Bundle as of now (within span of less than 24 hours), bcuz they see the value in it (be it +3 Racial Tomes for all chars, or Flying Carpet mount, or Iconic, and or what-not) and it evidences that the Top Tier Ultimate bundle is priced appropriately for their intended customer segment

whether one likens this Top Tier bundle as "Vespa" (if one wants to liken the Cool Flying Carpet in the Top-Tier as "Vespa") or "Porsche", it is evident that some people are Not in the demographic segment that they are targeting to sell to; so let those who rather buy 2 corvettes go buy 2 corvettes... this Ultimate Fan bundle isn't for them, rather it's targetted for those who want to buy Ultimate Fan Bundle (whether likening it to Porsche or Vespa)
