many warlock bugs (and potential bugs)

  1. Warlocks can currently be quelled, which in of itself isnt a bug. However, when quelled, warlocks cannot use ANY spells, not just their pact spells. It makes sense the pact spells dont work, but why doesnt level 1 buff spells, ecards, etc
  2. All eldritch blast shapes except cone and aura currently have a large targeting bug. When another player or npc (or anything that isnt an enemy or breakable) is targetted, the blast shoots almost straight upwards completely missing every single mob it could possibly hit. It definitely should fire where you are aiming like it does when you have nothing targetted.
  3. All blast shapes except cone and aura also have another bug. They have SLA targeting, much like fireball rune arms did before the rework. What this means is when targeting the ground (or anything less than perpendicular to the ground) they automatically fire parallel to the ground. This is a problem because if an enemy is below me, i cannot hit it unless i hard target. It also has the problem that i cannot ground target chain to hit mobs like i would with fireball.
  4. Enlightened spirit aura also has a gamebreaking bug. When the aura is turned on, sometimes when you cast a spell (any spell or sla regardless of source), its caster level will for some reason switch to be based on your warlock level instead of whatever level it should. For example, if i am 20 warlock and cast an epic destiny ability that should scale with my character level (to 32) it casts it at level 20 (warlock) and not 32 (character level). This makes having the heal aura quite bad, especially on toons with few warlock level.
  5. Not 100% sure if this is a bug, but eldritch burst and spirit blast (as well as acolyte of the skin SLAs) scale with 100% spellpower when all the other warlock damage abilities scale with 150% (eldritch ball, stunning blast, eldritch wave). The damage should probably be the same
  6. Acolyte (as well as teifling) have hellish rebuke, but the knockdown never works as far as i can tell. This should knockdown if the description is correct
  7. This is probably not a bug, but ill put it in here for clarity sake. Stricken and consume also dont scale at 150% spellpower like the other warlock abilities. Not sure if its supposed to, but it would make sense.
  8. Bug for all warlock SLAs (consume sight, finger of death, command, stunning blast, confusion, and mass confusion): the descriptions in the tree do not mention their DC calculation like all other enhancement trees do. Some are spellbook spells or they tell you the school and the spell level, but it probably should just tell the DC calculation, especially for warlock exclusive spells like stunning blast and the confusion ones.
  9. This isnt really a bug, but just a thought. If steal lifeforce is stealing the lifeforce from you enemy, as in your enemy is healing you, shouldnt it not be affected by the reaper self-healing penalty like ravager heal? The reaper self heal penalty is if YOU heal yourself, not the mob (or at least i think)
  10. Core 5 of tainted scholar is currently broken and very bad. The 10% attack speed in eldritch blast does not work. That is bad because the core lowers your hp by 25 and gives basically nothing else. With the 10% speed not working, this core actually makes your character worse rather than better. If the 10% speed cannot be made to work, it should be changed to something that will work such as +1 base die and pact die, +25 universal spellpower, +5% universal spell crit chance, +2 to all spell DCs, or something of the like for a 5th core.
  11. Stunning blast is currently bugged to be unusable. It has a massive delay after using before it attacks, maybe like 4-5 seconds. This makes the ability completely unusable due to having a gigantic delay before it actually does anything. Most of the time when it goes off the mobs are already dead.
  12. Small nitpick bug for warlock damage SLAs (eldritch ball, eldritch wave, stunning blast): they should probably be able to accept the embolden metamagic simply because its a spell and it has a DC. pretty much every spell with a DC accepts embolden.
  13. This is not a bug, but i always wondered why eldritch ball is so much worse than eldritch wave. Wave doesnt cost anything and it has the exact same damage it just hits 3 times instead of 1. Maybe change ball to nnot be so bad?
  14. As has become apparent by recent bug reports, evards black tentacles can kill party members if you have colors of the queen turned on
  15. Typo in burning blood SLA: no space between “8” and “and” for the a cid damage component

Yeah he should be flattered that SSG finds his build/gameplay so impactful that they need to break and nerf things to attempt to slow down his progress.

To the OP, Trek on and remember why you dont have these abilities listed.

Warlock trees could use an over haul if they'd update the es tree remove the useless summons enhancements

Add in imbue dice and other things could be a game changer

Funny you should mention. I'm level 17 on a build that utilizes those right now. I'd be terribly upset if they went away.

And as you were saying in the other thread sounding gets 4d6 radiant glory only 2d6 that should also get an upgrade to 4d6
