Manyshot - Plenty of Time Now

Yes. Because you could give every longbow in the game an across the board extra +1 critical multiplier, and the high-end players would still call them trash compared to Inquisitive because the rate of fire is so much lower. This has, in a crystal clear way, shown how out of balance Inquisitive combat DPS is compared to other ranged styles. Giving Longbows a permanent manyshot would be a way to close the gap with two-gun builds and repeating xbows.
They should let my caster cast two spells at once as well, I have two hands. I think that would be the only way casters could also compete with inquisitive DPS (but only until you run out of spell points).

Bows/Casters are literally 1/2 the DPS or less of crossbows right now.

Why not fire two fireballs at once? Makes more sense than firing a crossbow in each hand that you load with your nipples because fireballs are at least magic.

Okay, we've now had MORE than enough time to evaluate the changes to Manyshot that turned it into a charged garbage mess to realize now that it should be a toggle, like Power Attack and/or Heavy Draw, right?

So, you know, fix it. Thanks.

I like the change to Manyshot. Leave it as is, no changes needed.

Manyshot works fine, just lower the recharge timer.

As for Casters, allow them to equip an Orb in the off-hand along with a staff.

What is your suggestion to boost the DPS, given bow builds are massively behind?
Hmmmm,
  • To open, builds are not massively behind. Most player characters do way more damage than any NPC ever does.
  • Ranged builds (I prefer longbows) do a lot of damage and I'm happy with them.
  • The goal should not be to continually push SSG for instance or one-shot kills. Mobs go down pretty fast already.
My Story:
I play a Dark Hunter (Wood-elf) tier 4 Dark Hunter w/longbow, tier 5 Horizon Walker and my damage is pretty good. In general, I normally finish in the top 1 to 3 in kills and overall damage. With only about 40 plus past lives and good gear that I have collected over time.

Not every class is meant to be the APLHA KILLERs. For instance, a very good player with a solid Sorcerer build will always put out insane damage. This is also a D&D thing as well.

Why not? Why cant I want my favourite build to be as powerful as any other build? Why is it okay that it is nowhere near as good meaning I am gimping myself when I play what I want to play?

Also, someone posted a video of their arty doing 10m dpm damage. Could you do 5m dpm?

No-one who plays a lot of builds would agree with you about bows not being massively behind unless they were trolling, lying, or simply dont know how to play the game.

I agree at least at cap.

I don't think most people test builds, so they think they are good because kill counts are such a bad metric. The reality is if they actually tested their DPS they are probably 20-50% of a good inquisitive build with a bow build.

I don't think any caster could do more than 50% of the damage of a top inquisitive right now. You could take a pure sorc, swap a few feats around, and do more damage as an inquisitive than you can with spells easily on a class with zero native support for ranged.
