Max Attack Speed Summary?

Raedier

The Druid
Casters are slower than 60 a min as it takes a full second to go around, then some parts of a second to be considered free.
Also, a lot of spells have animations that last longer than the global cooldown of 1 second.
That is as a human user without macro's of any sort.
Perhaps some folks with macro's could tell what their max attacks/animations are.

Using macro's to rapidly cast spells is not as good as you think it is, manual casting is most likely even faster.

I could see healers putting close wounds on a macro tho lol.

This is a chart from Monkeyarcher from a couple years ago...not sure how well it still stands up -

If possible, could you explain how to read this table?

For example, does BAB 25 SWF mean 140 normal attacks per minute, and 174 attacks per minute with Haste Boost?

If so, why does the HB avg show 162 attacks per minute?

What are the formulas used to calculate HB and HB avg?

It does indeed mean BAB 25 Single Weapon Fighting is 140 attacks per minute with plain ol' haste and 174 attacks per minute with Haste Boost also active. The average 162 attacks per minute is there because there is a 66% uptime on Haste Boost (so it is the average over time to include when it is active and not active).

What are the formulas used to calculate HB
Haste Boost is supposed to be +30% attack speed (which is assumed to be on top of +15% attack speed from having the spell or equipment with Haste, and Combat modifiers to attack speed like Wolf Form, Single Weapon Fighting, or Quarterstaff). In practice, we can't always make a clean formula because the animations do not cleanly translate attack speed boosts to animation speed boosts for each weapon animation. Things get even muddier if you try to include animations beyond the standard auto-attack, as they have a slew of their own oddities.

Interesting to look at, but it's not clear if "S&B" includes the 20% attack speed bonus from Vanguard.
