gee thanks, that shortens the time how? this is an SSG issue, not something I need a work around for. It's something SSG needs to changeIf you plan to wait out 1 per quest I recommend doing it just before completing the quest.
Basically there are 2 timers that run. A Short timer(1-6 minutes) and a Long timer(not sure but up to about an hour). The Short timer only starts if you have completed a quest since the last time you gained durability from a Mist Stalker. If you are killing mist stalkers after completion then you will perpetually be starting your 1-6 minute timer after completion, instead of after 10 kills. You never want to wait on the Long timer, but sometimes it will trigger if you are in a very long quest.
1. Complete the quest to "prime" your timer
2. Go start another quest
3. Wait out and kill mist stalker before completion
4. Repeat from step 1.
Because you will be waiting 1-6 minutes from 10 kills into the quest rather than 1-6 from after you completed it.gee thanks, that shortens the time how?
I do agree; they seem to have taken the fact that some people liked the Hardcore Hounds, and did not take into account that no one was actively trying to kill them en masse. It's something SSG needs to change
Um when i was low lvl waiting for a party mbr we got a mist while waiting for someone to come in.. haverdasher.. with 0 kills. sort of blow this 10 kills timer out of the water..As PersonMan says, the spawn timer starts 10 kills into a quest and is a maximum of 6 minutes, as long as you have completed a quest since your last spawn. I assume this is to prevent farming lantern XP by waiting for a spawn then abandoning the quest (particularly for the skull / skull reaper lanterns), but it also means that you won't get more than one when running wilderness zones.
If you're regularly finishing quests in less than 6 minutes then you might sometimes be unlucky with the spawn timer and not get a mist stalker during the quest, but at that speed you may as well move on to another quest and hope for a quicker spawn next time rather than waiting after quest end.
Yeah, that person is making stuff up. You can also leave a quest without finishing and get another spawn.Um when i was low lvl waiting for a party mbr we got a mist while waiting for someone to come in.. haverdasher.. with 0 kills. sort of blow this 10 kills timer out of the water..
The first update to the event added the 10 kill requirement, it was not there originally.Um when i was low lvl waiting for a party mbr we got a mist while waiting for someone to come in.. haverdasher.. with 0 kills. sort of blow this 10 kills timer out of the water..
I'm 9/10 lanterns done and reporting based on what I have experienced.Yeah, that person is making stuff up.
Just treat it like a regular hardcore where you would be chasing 5000 favor and the lanterns will fill up on their own. You will fill atleast 3 lanterns just by running every quest.its going to take me 2 years to finish still working on first one only getting like 10 point each time worst event ever was not worth making a toon
running every quest... what great advice!! even the boring quests and the quest you down right hate?? id rather get to cap and run sagas i like... mist encounter are easy once youre capped as well...Just treat it like a regular hardcore where you would be chasing 5000 favor and the lanterns will fill up on their own.
