MM and achievements clearance - another stab to veterans, SSG?

I don't like losing MM progress either, but I understand the realities of all sorts of "IT things" that can't be fixed without unreasonable time or money and I live with it.
I see pattern to blandish new and fresh players on other hand long time players - well who care.
But on this, seriously are there so many "new and fresh players" to this game nowadays for this to be something created for them?

Sure there might be some but this or other stuff is not done to deliberately entice this near non-existent demographic. I've seen no advertisement for this game in years, let alone one saying "Fresh Monster Manual Progress for all on the new 64-bit servers, Come play for Free!"

To me the interesting thing about the MM is what has killed me. Right now Kobold Shaman have killed me the most from the early years of DDO. I wonder what the new winner is going to be.
Lol had me checking! Hobgoblins at 103 are just edging out drow at 101. Nothing else has made it past 70 at beholders in a distant 3rd.

Okay, that's one (1). One is not a "mob."

*PS, that sounds like a shout out to Xena: Warrior Princess. An unfortunate loss on all accounts.

One mob, named “Lucy Lawful”, is no longer in the game. (There are others, but that’s the one you’re talking about).

A mob is an npc/monster/animal/etc that can move. Its mobile.

The reason that term is used is because waaaaaay back there used to be games called MUDs (multi-user dungeons) and eventually mobile objects were created. They were called Mobs for short.

Also, that’s why we talk about “procs”. There was an add on for the servers called “mobprocs” that allowed procedures to run while attached to jobs - e.g. they could talk, or interact, or do other non-fighting stuff. Eventually the term “proc” was used for active effects on items, and now we typically use that term as both verb and noun for random effects - the Slay Living proc on a weapon can proc randomly.

I can't think of very many disappeared mobs. What quests beside memoirs are gone?
It's not just quests that have disappeared, some of the quests have been altered to have different monster types. I believe some of the removed ones were names that only appeared in those quests.

So, if Im reading that correctly, we will lose all that mob kill numbers what we accumulated during decades of dedicated killing mobs and especially highest tier of achieving which is to see mob HP.
Im not great fan of giving all toons ability to see mobs HP, sense of achievement is taken away from many of us again and I see pattern to blandish new and fresh players on other hand long time players - well who care.
Will be nice that You offer at least some gift/perk per max achievement mob type wise we have - well that just a thought from me.
It's a quality of life upgrade that should never have been locked behind busywork to begin with. Be happy everyone will have it, you can be elitist in other ways in this game.

Right...but like, are we talking about MM goals that are no longer completable, or are we talking about 3 or 4 unique mobs out of...thousands? tens of thousands?

There are not that many, but still a shame they will be truly gone for good once no one has them in MM anymore.
I think there is a way to actually save them!
Make a character on a server you have the mob kills and don't transfer the character.
When they re-open the servers for transfers your mm will still be there!
Most probably, they will still not be able to transfer it but you get a second chance!

OP is also likely against any form of catch-up mechanics for new players. He/they/them earned it, you should too!!!
Exactly, otherwise what's the point in grind game?
Oh goodie, let's give all toons tr benefits they didn't achieve so we can have plain playing field for all toons. Somehow looks to me is ridiculous to level stuff in a way that 1st, 2nd or 3rd lifer can parry to some1 with bunch of TRs and playing hours invested. Its illogical and against core of DDO mechanics, for that, u have much better pay-to-win games on mobiles IMHO. DDO was always up to upgrading and improving your toon with TRs, removing perks u got that way (no matter how insignificant to someone else are) leaves bitter taste.
It's bitter enough that we need to change servers and lose friends and guilds, and don't give me that crap You can go LV server cause Im not masochistic inclined and 240ms ping is way too much for my taste.
