Thanks, it was interesting that the dev confirmed u82 is more of a meta shuffle than a once-in-a-blue-moon balance pass. Druidsfire and the dev did a great job. I am not sure how I feel about an annual meta shuffle though. That means racial tr followed by all new xpac gear followed by new raid gear swaps followed by a meta shuffle and likely another past life nerf over 5 months each year.
The way it worked in the previous event was that any piece of equipment created during the event was flagged, regardless of how it was created. For example, you could trade two old Golden Age weapons for a flagged version, since that type of barter creates a brand new item.
Devs, I would still like a way to remove the flags, by the way. Removing the borders wasn't enough for some of us.

If it works like last even you should wait to turn in your mats until the event is active. With raid run items they were flagged if you bought those with runes while the event was active. I assume it would work the same way this time around unless they add more restrictions.

Seemed like Torc was saying rest in peace reaper mode, or rest in peace reaper mode as it's been for the past decade. He was speaking of it as past tense for what it did for the game and that it will change in the future.
Also while I'm critical of the crunch decisions in this game in past few years (double xbows doing what they did for like a decade), I do think Torc is a great voice and face for this game. While I disagree with many decisions ssg makes, he does explain himself and the ideas behind their decisions quite well. Good interview too by Druidsfire.

I said it then (when reaper was realsed) and I'll say it now. Reaper mode was a bad idea.
