Monk Shintao issue?

Anyone else have a bug where they cannot choose the Fists of Light, Dismissing Strike selector on a monk with path of inevitable dominion?

I cannot choose the dark multi selector in Fists of Light "Dismissing Strike"
The tool tip shows:
Requires: Path of Inevitable Dominion
Requires: Disciple of Philosophy : Dark
Requires: Monk Level 3

I can choose Hand of Harm in Shintao which has the same requirements:
the tool tip shows:
Requires: Path of Inevitable Dominion
Requires: Disciple of Philosophy : Dark
Requires: Monk Level 3

what gives?

I think you need to select it in Grandmaster of flowers Core 4. I remember having the same issue.
seems pretty odd that you would need a core 4 epic destiny for a tier 3 heroic enhancement.

I have a level 15 light monk that can choose the light path selector.

If you choose light monk, you can’t choose dark monk enhancements and vice versa. It literally says it.
Not applicable... Less than useful and snarky to boot.

Literally chose dark monk, stated in the first post, also as shown in the tool tips. I understand that core concept. This char has 100 or so past lives. I played monks before.

I'm stating I'm Path of Inevitable Dominion (Path: Dark) Feat chosen at level 3. For Some reason I cannot choose this one particular dark monk selector, but can choose other dark only selectors everywhere else. This enhancement both selectors are Red border, which should not be possible according to how I understand it. There is a binary choice at lvl 3 that should make one or the other available.

I'm willing to be wrong or have missed something, but it is my understanding a Dark Monk should have all Dark Monk selectors available to them at the appropriate level.

I have tried respeccing all the enhancements logging off etc.

Yeah I dont really 100% remember tbh. I know that core 4 is called disciple of philosophy and the selection is dark philosophy, so was just guessing it may be that. But I do remember having the same issue with selecting the dark strikes. Idk, good luck. It may be a bug? Maybe try just to test?

Finally had a change to look at this today, it is indeed bugged.

In U73, Steelstar tried to fix the bug where Dismissing Strike did not become available to you if you weren't a Dark Monk but had Disciple of Philosophy: Dark (GMoF core 4).
He fixed that, but he introduced a new bug, where now Dismissing Strike requires BOTH Dark Path AND Disciple of Philosophy: Dark.
If you compare Dismissing Strike with Fists of Light, in the prerequisites you'll see that Fists of Light says "requires one of:", whereas Dismissing Strike doesn't say that.

Just ran into this and it's so frustrating. The previous bug was preferrable of the two. Now you have to be dark monk AND have the destiny thingy thats supposed to circumvent this requirement.

Especially frustrating because it seems to be an accidental bug that shouldn't take that long to fix, but see you in 10 years probably.

Yeah just like filigrees and MD gear, they’ve moved on. The dev team cannot be bothered to deliver the functionality promised and published.

Glad I found this post to realise I'm not crazy.
Devs, please fix this... It shouldn't take more than 6 minutes. Show us that you care

I don't think it's laziness. I think it's large amounts of hubris.

Even after all these years of bugged initial releases and the subsequent failed "fix" attempts, they still think their "fixes" will magically work on the first try.

Thus, they don't bother to do even the minimal level of QA of simply logging a toon into the test world and verifying the fix worked before shoving it out the door.
