More Saga's

Hi all,
I think we all love Saga's.

I would like to suggest the addition of a few saga's.

1) Necro saga
2) devil invasion saga (savarth, trials, vale, devil assault)
3) dreaming dark, inspired saga

Saga's not only reward the player, but also groups the quests to a story. I really like that aspect of saga's personally ☺️

Todo: add lists of quests at each saga. Add other saga ideas.

Of your suggestions, I would support Necro I-III being a Saga, as it would justify running what's otherwise a dead pack. Shavarath isn't long enough to justify a Saga. I could also support the entirety of Inspired Quarter, since there's not much of a reason to run those at this point.

I'd add Keep on the Borderlands as a Saga proposal.

Keep also needs something to be added with it.

Shavarath, is together with devil invasion quests.
That means devil assault in elite, the vale quests (shroud). So it is actually quite a lot of quests.

Here are my additions:
1) Korthos
2) Keep (these two would be great for new players to learn about how sagas work)
3) Necro I and Necro II (5 to 8 level range is pretty similar to 3BC)
4) WW/STK
5) Lordsmarch 12s and 13s (might need to reduce xp for them, or add invaders or something else)
6) Catacombs (would help in Epic, maybe add in Deleras?)
7) Slavers/ToEE (no idea if people would do this in heroic, but maybe for people grinding epic past lives?)
8) Threnal (also make Threnal Epic)
9) Sorrowdusk (also make Sorrowdusk Epic)
10) Sands
11) Sharn Docks + Hands

I'm not a big fan of sagas. I like dabbling a little bit with this and a little bit of that - and there are often a quest or a couple I don't care for, but feel forced to complete (or pay to ignore) for saga rewards.

I still wouldn't object to more of them - but "packifying" stuff isn't always a good thing - an adventure should be able to stand on its own and be done because it's interesting, challenging, rewarding or some other form of fun - not because you need to complete a set for more numbers.

Yes, this is the worst aspect of sagas, having (I know... I know... no one is obliged or forced to do so) to run bad content to complete a saga. Even if we skip one quest, still there is some bad quests included in each xpack (Combating Corruption the main culprit - no exp, reward is lackluster, long, tedious and annoying mobs... at least Precious Cargo doesn't double up on Heroics and Epics).

I have been wanting a Grey Moon/Cot6 saga for quite a while. Also making this epic would be appreciated as well. We have plenty of Legendary, would enjoy a little more Epic content. Also, Tangleroot. I would actually run these if they were made to support Reaper and have a saga attached to it.

Historically, sagas are a selling point for expansion content. SSG isn't going to jeopardize expansions because they're a huge revenue generator.

Don't hold your breath to see old content get sagas, no matter how logical it may be. Retreading old content isn't revenue generating unless it's part of something new (S/S/S revamp in Saltmarsh for example). And the Necro content is so old and has been given away so much with free codes, the revenue potential tie in is extremely low. And many of the Necro quests suck to run because they are bad quest design. So the audience for that is lower compared to other content.

Would be nice to have some generic Sagas... I mean, a NPC that rewards a list of special/rare itens (Big experience 10K to 20K, Big Guild Renown, Colapsed portable holes, Random long lasting potions, Feat Dragonshards currency, etc) after completing 10 to 15 non-saga quests.

Some very interesting points.
1) sagas are selling points. So why not, introducing a new saga doesn't mean we all automatically and for free get it. New sagas could be sold together perhaps with added quests/revised content. Clearly this process will take time etc... but I think it could work nicely.
2) generic saga. I think that is the favor rewards. We already get a lot of rewards by doing quests, I don't think we need more. Also, for those that might misunderstood my intention. I'm not asking sagas so much for the rewards (well the renown is more than welcome) but because I like sagas as story connectors/story telling mechanism.
3) compelled to compete sagas. I understand this issue and don't have much to suggest about it. I also feel compelled of getting all cups to the blue color 😅. Actually sagas help me for the overall obsession and to focus on the saga subset ☺️.

Revising old content is not a compelling revenue strategy. New content sells more/better because of its novelty and new gear tetris possibilities.

I think there is a golden point of revisited and new content. I agree that new is more compelling, but if the old feels very old and forgotten it starts affecting the overall result.

I don't know the golden point but we have seen revisits and I'm sure that did paid off.

Doing favor runs on other servers was fun. We got to visit some old quests and reminisced. "Ohhh, this was a party wipe!" and "That trap was killer!"
We all thought that adding sagas would breathe new life into the old stuff, but the commercial aspect of that makes sense. It won't bring revenue.

If they ever did want to update foot traffic in the old stuff, seems like they could do a BONUS EXP WEEK FOR NECRO or BONUS COMMS for BIG TOP.

Old content is invisible when there's new content to do at the same level that is easier/faster/more efficient to do and has better gear. SSG has no compelling reason to make old content worthy of running. And for lots of old content, that's a good thing because it's full of bad design and tedious gameplay.

As stupid as it sounds, I wish there was a way to encourage SSG to revamp old content. Like a GoFundMe but for legacy adventure packs. Otherwise yeah, to Ying's point there's no money in making a Necro saga even if the majority of long-term players would pay for such a thing to happen.
