Mouse control of toon is out of control since Vecna

When I engage in combat and I jump and turn to shoot an arrow, the toons turn a different direction. Also, I cannot lock and look around. I have to try multiple times for the look to catch so you can look correctly. I changed the windowed resolution, switched the mouse portal, went in and lowered the computer sensitivity to the mouse. Ever since Venca I lost control of my mouse and the toons. This loss of control is not happening on other programs just DDO. I have searched for resolutions and nothing is coming up that supports this issue. Any ideas how to fix?

Just to ask the obvious question, do you have a game controller plugged-in to your computer? (and if so, have tried unplugging it while playing)

The mouse issue is still invading game play. Is there a fix? It is only with this game that it does it. The mouse starts out ok and then goes crazy as you start to engage with the game and progressively worsens in battle. You have to use the arrow keys at the worse point. I also tried playing as admin and that didn't work. There is something interfering with DDO and not any of the other programs.

I'm trying to visualize what all is going with you to second guess what the issue might be (I can only roughly guess from just the decription). You might try checking these settings; the steering options can mess with things. Might also check your windows system settings for mouse acceleration. I vaguely recall certain mice/trackballs (this was ages ago like many many years) didn't play nice with DDO (so plugging in a different mouse if you have a spare laying around will let you test this); also try unplugging other USB devices just to rule out conflicts (getting into just grasping at straws mode here).

Thank you for your help. A new mouse helped but the issue is not quite gone away. I tried all other options. As long as I can fight 90% of the time I will keep playing. I watched a video that said DDO is a fragmented ancient system that is pieced together by tape and it is amazing that it still functions. On that note, I will take what I can get and not expect much for improvements on the system.

Sounds like you are using "Orbiting" instead of "Steer" when mouselook.
Once again please check if you have your mouselook mousebutton assigned to /steer instead of /orbiting
