Under the current rules, I can push a character to 362 or 363 on a crafting boost weekend. After that, deconstruction is the only viable way to go because high end, unbound shards are very material intensive. (I have done that on two occasions, but throwing away dozens of Purified Eberon Dragonshard Fragments for modest crafting experience gains is painful.) If anyone knows a better way to earn crafting experience above 360, please let me know!
When maximum level increases to 34, we will gain two more minimum level shards. That will help. In the old days, it was possible to reach crafting level ~382 during a crafting boost weekend.
Perhaps Tonquin would consider putting Crafting Experience Books in chests. Reading one would bestow a fixed amount of crafting experience on the character. Make them unbound and you have something to trade on the auction house.
On the hand, all crafting levels above 340 or so are just victory laps. They do not actually matter, accept for the three people still making unbound shards a couple times a year.
