Myth Drannor Drop Rates

It was around... 10 times? But this was with an alt account running with me too.
Could've been extremely lucky, but it was 1 pull from my acc, and 1 from alt.

None of the wilderness chests were ransacked except for owlbear (which is quick to get to)
I think that sounds just extremely lucky. I’ve ransacked quite few places and still haven’t seen one drop

Worst. Expansion. Ever.

Clearly designed to prolong the content's longevity through abysmal drop rates -ignoring player frustration after months of non-stop ransacking with multiple toons without the loot they want- and to milk money out of people buying shards to reroll.

If you didn't think they think of you as cash cows before; here it is, blatantly, laid out in front of you.

Myth D is DDO's (cash) cow level...

took me 17 years to get a jibbers
The secret to jibbers is dedication. I waited until I was at a point where I was ready to take a break from the game (and thus didn't have any real desire to play). Instead of just not logging in, I logged in and ran TTT once on epic hard (this was back when epic elite was too tough for most people to solo). Whether it took a month, 6 months, or 17 years (to use your example) I was determined to run it just once a day and do nothing else until I got it. If I ended up farming a dozen epic past lives just running this one quest, so be it. Took a couple of months to get the blade. It's drop chances are not that low if you are getting 365 pulls a year.

I did it twice a life plus a few extra. Which translates to 3-5 times a tenday on average.

Glad I quit playing months ago. I hit my threshold. Been having fun playing Diablo 3, Diablo 4, New World, and in 3 weeks Path of Exile 2. There are just way too many other fun games out there that dont have dismal rate drops, lag, and a bunch of other nonsense.
I thought I would miss DDO, but I havent lost a wink of sleep over it.
It actually feels great not playing.

That would mean you ran it 1861 to 3102 times before pulling a blade. Are you sure you really averaged 3 to 5 chest pulls per 10 days for 17 years? Most people take breaks or stop after getting every past life. The point of my post was that the refusal to move on so that you are ransacking (or nearly ransacking with 7 out of 8 pulls) each week is how blade farming becomes something that doesn't take an extreme amount of time. It's too easy to stop playing or find yourself below level 20 and miss opportunities to pull it. I have a terrible time getting most items because I rarely dedicate the time to farm. This (and the abbott quiver) were the only things actually good enough to be worth the trouble (mostly because I want items that can be used for your entire life from level 1 to max level and there is not nearly enough stuff like that).

Just the fact that half the people posting here are running alt followers or entire alt follower groups … no thanks.

No. The Cursed Blade of Jack Jibbers was released in 2014. It took you 10+ years to decide to get one. Congratulations. You could've had it 10 years ago if you recognized its value initially.
yea. you are correct about the time. not so much about the effort. most of that time I was in a 2 man guild which became one man. I didn't get thee jibbers until I was in a helpful guild who helped me farm a jibbers.

You could’ve put an jibbers farm LFM up and sacked it once a week for a month on each toon. You would’ve had multiple jibbers, I promise. Jibbers isn’t as hard to get as the heroic HP cloak from the dragon rare.

I hit the Bloodstone chest probably 3,000 times the first year and change after it came out and never pulled one. Just because you put in effort is no guarantee you're going to get something.

I'm glad they eventually added in nifty things like letting one buy that explore loot for bronze coins. There's lot of mechanics/grind aspects to some older MMOs that QoL and modern times have changed over the years; I find MD rare loot to be throw back to a design I don't ever want to go back to.

I had stopped looking at that point. Though I did move to Cannith to start fresh when it opened. We decided to hit the chest a few times before doing Wiz King. Opened it 3 times, both my brothers pull 2 in those 3 openings.

Nah. I had bloodstones on every alt. Sounds like you might’ve just been extremely unlucky. Don’t buy lottery tickets.
