Need help with a Warlock build

I am really trying to make my Warlock work but just can't seem to make him good. I started with trying to go hybrid Tainted Scholar and Soul Eater where I got the level 12 Enhancements from Soul Eater but the level 40 one from Tainted Scholar for maximum crits and the Eldritch Wave SLA (since it seems better than Eldrtich Ball). This didn't provide great results... He was dealing no damage and dying to slight breezes. I tried going into the level 12 Enhancements for Tainted Scholar for better CC DCs and while it does help he still deals no damage (even less now) and dies super easily. I am level 20 with the Shiradi Champion Destiny as a focus (since I already use the Draconic one with another character and find it kind of boring) but I have to use Rejuvenation Cocoon otherwise I can't last long. I am playing a Tiefling Acolyte of the Skin for RP reasons but am not investing into it's Enhancement tree other than the bare minimum since it seems kind of bad.

What should I do? Can anyone recommend a good Warlock build? How much should I prioritize DCs as opposed to damage? Are the Warlock SLAs any good? How important are Damage boosting Metamagics (since only the SLAs benefit from them)? Almost all of the builds online seem to be in a website that isn't available anymore...

Thank you.

This is an old post with no reply's.
Warlocks blaster is force damage.
Spell power = more damage
Force spell power is Impulse
Force Lore = the change to do double damage
On your character sheet there is an icon the purple one next to spell points
when you hover over it it tells you your spell power for each eliminate in addition to the other spell powers
the change for double damage is the chart under it with the multiplier after that.
you want the spell powers your using with the change to do double damages in it as high as they can be.

* DC at minimum should be your characters level.
DC for your character is your characters castor class level.
if your a pure caster they are the same.
if you take rogue for trapping and evasion,
your character level is the total of both classes,
your caster level is only the warlock levels which is your DC
* see above

spell focus mastery adds to all spell schools DC
spell school focus doesn't stack with it and only supports that particular spell school dc.
(school focus is usually higher than master focus)

personally like tainted scholar Chain blaster
use the fiend and get a one shot kill from the pack spells
this means you want
force and fire damage
Evard's Black Tentacles : Conjuration school at level or higher

not sure if your using scepters or weapons.
Scepters have both force and damages spell power boosts.
on in each hand ( using blaster for weapon)
Impulse (55) is a red augment so the scepter spell power level can level if the Kinetic Lore is a good percentage
here's an example of one you could use for the force power its a low level scepter easy to obtain from borderlands you could probably get both force and fire scepters for your spell power and critical hit SCEPTER

There are a few spells that may need spell penitration .
enchantment school
Pick your Spells so they compliment your spell power needs
you can check which school you have strength in ( some races give some buffs to dc or resistance for these schools)
the + tab on your character sheet under spell casting

Somebody struck this thru and does that mean we can now buff with necro items?

  • Considered a Necromancy effect; however, it is not affected by items, feats and abilities that improve Necromancy DCs.
In the description it lists:
  • Save: Will save vs. DC(15 + Charisma Modifier + Necromancy bonuses)
