Ran the quest as i usually do , after chasing the dog/bird/crow whatever it usually spawns and egg of sorts. however this egg was nowhere to be found ( should be JUST where u killed the last transformed whatever) . So i thought it invisible or so ... nothing mousing over the area where it died .
Ok , stuff happens . just run the quest again ... well i dunno .... the VERY same issue again ... no egg nada nothing ....
Having run quest about a million times before did they change anything im not aware of?

Did you kill it on the bridge? It tends to fall through the floor and bug out if you do.

Were you on the log bridge when you killed it? (or other really uneven ground?) I believe the egg and dog/etc. spawns occasionally fall thru the terrain and glitch that quest.

first kill was in the tripathcross , if u take by the river when heading back. yes i kinda though it much like a check spawning within some stairs or so.
terrain was uneven-ish. next was also close to the river instead slighlty after going upwards from the river in the direction back at questentrance . the crow was near a tree , with somewhat even ground .
Then again as for this reasoning with chests spawning in odd places and fallthoughs and so on ... never ever had this be in this quest . much less i expect it 2 times in a row
