They are; it is just a robe that displays the whole look.mmm sounds like the robe and head piece are a single cosmetic instead of seperate? If so that is a dissappointment

Charging 100 dollars for cosmetics is a tactic straight out of EA's book. /Passso that why you guys took so long to fix lag bc you where doing new coffernow it all make sense
before all forum paladin's will lynch me i get that some1 other do coffer's and some other do lag's fix but after 2 weeks of horrible lag they could atleast give some compensation and i dont mean free items but atleast good event with exp or something ( not buddy bonus bc it lag even more )
so giving another coffer is like spit in your face
At least you'll look good while your screen is frozen.Charging 100 dollars for cosmetics is a tactic straight out of EA's book. /Pass
You'd rather they go down the Pay to Win route?Charging 100 dollars for cosmetics is a tactic straight out of EA's book. /Pass
No real PVP in this game so pay to win doesn't exist. Pay to get a stronger character is what makes up most of the store purchases already. You'd rather they go down the Pay to Win route?
Right and this is just cosmetics. So I really don't see the big deal. If someone has the money and likes the look, cool. Doesn't give them any advantage at all.No real PVP in this game so pay to win doesn't exist. Pay to get a stronger character is what makes up most of the store purchases already.
I don't have an issue with them selling any of it but not everyone has to agree with the price point. I wouldn't pay for cosmetics at all, but that is my choice, not some belief against selling them.Right and this is just cosmetics. So I really don't see the big deal. I liked some stuff in previous packs, but I'm not interested in cosmetics either. Some people really love them. *shrug*I don't have an issue with them selling any of it but not everyone has to agree with the price point. Sometimes you have to hawk tuah on that thang.Forum Paladin here, they are not giving anything, you have to buy it. So it is more like paying someone to spit in your face. If you are not into that then maybe don't pay for it? Although the tears from all the crying blend in nicely with the spit so... to each their own.
Lame. Sounds like a rushed project. They are; it is just a robe that displays the whole look.
DDO literally already has that with £104 edition expansions which include Racial APs that you cannot get anywhere else, and with a large portion of the game being centered around getting lots of unique items and then adding bank/.inventory space not available elsewhere in cosmetic packs. You'd rather they go down the Pay to Win route?
So you'd like them to double down on that by getting rid of cosmetic offers like this and replace them with more P2W stuff?DDO literally already has that with £104 edition expansions which include Racial APs that you cannot get anywhere else, and with a large portion of the game being centered around getting lots of unique items and then adding bank/.inventory space not available elsewhere in cosmetic packs.
Like people consider Gacha games "predatory" in that they encourage you to keep trying to pull the characters you want but if you'd spent £240 on genshin impact in the space of 12 months you'd have so many full constellation 5 star characters.
DDO's drip feeding of bank/inventory space alongside cosmetics for hilarious amounts of money is something only the most ardent (and hopefully well off - I'd hate to see a DDO addict spending their rent money on this tripe) whales could accept imo. I'm glad I didn't acquiese to my urge to play again this week, SSG is abusing the game's most die-hard fans.
I fully agree with this statement, highlighting the desperation and high risk of shuttting down.On a serious note, all these overpriced coffers, rare loot, (poor) attempt at improving VIP benefits, including VIP only server, indicate some level of desperation.
Ddo might be at higher than ever risk of being shut down, so if you're a forum paladin, maybe buy 3 coffers just to be sure.
I'm not against the concept of video game studios making money, far from it, I think the majority of people providing their labour in creative industries are probably underpaid....but I am a consumer advocate at heart and I genuinely think DDO is an extremely anti-consumer game. If you have the patience and wallet to put up with this nonsense then I am glad for you, but I don't and this game has gotten away from me because I am just not willing to spend what's being asked at this point to keep my character up to date (yes, technically all of the overprised upgrades are 'optional' but it's not to me, that's just how I feel/what the game has encouraged out of me).I get all this however I have to ask: do you think 64-bit servers grow on trees?
Without the Milk the Whales paradigm it is highly doubtful that DDO is profitable enough to keep in active development. EG7 might be able to get a workable profit out of maintenance mode but they're more likely to just shut the game down when it reaches that stage.
And with that, i'll wait for it to come on sale. I'd have preferred the skull effect as a helm, not all bound together. They are; it is just a robe that displays the whole look.
