New cosmetic ideas

Instead of cloaks with just a different color schema could you consider back cosmetics that go with the theme of a build? I would welcome others to add ideas but here are some to start:

1. Two sword scabbards that form an X on your back for two weapon fighters.
2. Multiple different sword scabbard sizes and styles to match different types of weapons.
3. Rows of dagger/dart sheaths up both sides of the back for throwers
4. Multiple different quiver designs for bow users.
5. Multiple different shields that cover your back
6. Rows of potion pouches for alchemists

You can make them available on the DDO store. Don't underestimate players desires for their characters to look unique.

Thank you for listening.

I'd love to have a lute strapped to the back on a bard.
Quivers have been requested before in place of cloak/back items. There is even a few NPCs with quivers on their backs that have existed since forever. It should be doable its probably just a matter of animations and clipping.

Can the Wizard Orbs be Spellbooks? I get that this doesn't make practical sense, but it makes great selfie sense. Please understand!
There are two spellbooks that can be used, or Glamered as a cosmetic to be worn with another orb.
Tome of Strahd - Curse of Strahd raid (BTCoA)

Libram of Silver Magic - Haunted Hall of Eveningstar (BTCoE)

Because the Libram doesn't bind on acquire, you may be able to find someone with an unbound one to glamer, or buy it on the shard exchange, glamer it, and sell it again.

I'd Love to see any and all of these. I would love more than anything for some new weapon cosmetics. In Particular Scythes and Beer steins for Orbs, love the drunk mage look.

How about the ability to add auras on to cosmetic armors? I would love to see a black flame aura!
There was a store bought armor cosmetic that had a smoky sort of aura to it, and was promoted as having that aura, but it no longer seems to be working, now its just a basic armor cosmetic. Maybe its just me its not working for, but I believe I have seen several ppl wearing the cosmetic and no aura was applied. Its an ok looking cosmetc, nothing great, but I would not have purchased it if I had known the aura would be removed, that is if that's the case here.

I vote to allocate the entire art budget for a year to making good looking clothing, specifically armor, outfits, and robes for female human characters. If the price is reasonable, I will buy such clothing, even if you put them exclusively in the cash shop. I would never purchase most of the other stuff listed in this thread.

Exactly. Cosmetics are a good way to make money. They are a part of an MMORPG fun.

Here are my humble ideas.

I always wanted this armor in full gray. Note how the arms, greaves, shoulders and chest slots are black. It doesn't match the gray base texture.

I want it to look like this one, to match the helmet.

Unfortunately this Random I got has no arms nor greaves cover. Just the chest and shoulders.

My suggestion is to add the possiblity to change these slots with a new kind of glammer mirror.
This mirror could let us choose an appearance from a list to use in one of those slots: legs, arms or chest.

I hope I made my explanation clear.

You know what would be great? Hair under hats. And actual WIZARD HATS. I never knew putting on a hat of any kind causes my characters hair to zip away and make them bald.

I agree. That's why I never use Feywild Mosaic Helmet because the character becomes bald. Same for top hats. Top hats with bandanas make no sense.

Short solution for this... Make a short haircut overlay in the character. No hair 3D mesh, just the hair color overlay on the head.
