New Effect Request - Bracelet of Friends rip off

Short of it, I've noticed in the past inquires about new desired effects or hard to come by effects.

I'd like to propose an item in the future that has a Bracelet of Friends like effect. One charge per rest, can teleport party (with per player acceptance) to your location. Upgraded to include Explorer zones and Airship but not quests. It can be ultra rare loot somewhere between old impossible Spell Storing Ring Shards or Seals and Warhelm/Jibbers level. I'd farm the heck out of it, so 1 in 500 or whatever is just fine.

I normally dual box, but my main is just hanging awaiting the new race/expansion combo. So as a Solo guild, running the 6 accounts ATM 1-34 with full favor as a one off. Mostly discarded Hard Core toons.

I know there are fancy programs like Dungeon Helper, but I'm uncomfortable loading outside assistance. Not about breaking rules, but about computer invasion! Just not going to happen. With this type of item, my lingering desire for a game follow feature is negated as well. Kind of a all in one QOL improvement for me in particular.

Just got done running the 6 accounts from Portal to Belly and seemed like the perfect catalyst to make this request.

Do it for Varr.

An item that mimicked the Bracelet of Friendship would be a fantastic item.
Another item that would be amazing is an airship teleport clicky.

They should just sell Bracelets in game for 100k plat

It'd mean they're no longer a source of store revenue, but i doubt it's much revenue regardless right now, and the benefits to encouraging grouping and more play would make up for it. Heck the raid timer bypasses alone would likely skyrocket. Also it'd be an effective plat sink, so two wins

They definitely should sell Bracelets of friends for plat, but they need to make them not suck. You cannot teleport someone in a quest or adventure area, nor can you teleport them between Eberron and Eveningstar. I have half a dozen bracelets of friends (they used to be the freebie of the week occasionally when F2P was new). I keep one on me at all times. I have used 4 of the 10 charges of one bracelet and that is all I have ever used. It is really hard to find a time when they are useful because all they do is teleport people from one part of town to another and Stormreach is a really small town that doesn't need it.

- Sell them for plat or common collectables would be a nice sink, yes please.
- There is an airship tele consumeable in the shopm but it would be much nicer as an amenity perk.
- It is possible to tele to Eveningstar, don't know if it is wai though.

I know it takes away lore if we can tele whereever we want but seriously that is an argument for the first three lifes maybe not for my 7th or more.

Cheers,
Titus

Although multi boxing is allowed I don't see them creating anything to support it.

I highly doubt they'll sell many Bracelets of Friends in the store, so it would make sense to make them viable in-game with in-game currency.

Its usefulness is very limited. In the old days, it was mostly used to bring the party to the TOD entrance area, so that those who didn't yet have the tower flag wouldn't have to run through the wilderness. It's rarely used these days. I can't remember the last time I saw someone use it. Still, it might be used in raid groups if it was a low-drop silver/gold dice and if it works at the most raid entrances.

Does it work to prevent people from having to run through the Feywild wilderness before doing a Demigod raid? This might warrant an in-game Bracelet of Friends purchase. I don't think it's worth buying it in the store for this.

People having to drop group to run through a slayer area to get to a raid entrance is the only way I've used them for quite a while.

But that saves 10 other people some time standing around not playing; so I'm willing to commit to -1 inventory space to haul one around on my raid toons, but yeah, i probably won't spend points on them again.

100k plat feels about right to me, but the price point isn't really the issue here.

The key ask is upgrading them from same realm in town only to add explorer and optimally airships.

Can live with same realm only if system is hardwired to not allow cross over.

My ask ends Stormhorn death taxi’s and is 1000 times more useful than the in town only mostly useless current bracelet. Or a 5th and 6th player join as you're about to enter The Key to the Mythal.

Wanted to point out as the thread drifts towards converting current Bracelet from store to plat bought. Asking for the effect to upgraded and personally I'd love it to be an item effect. A level 34 significantly upgraded version of say the personal use teleport Royal Guard Mask.

Super useful for me now running 6 toons, but that is only an estimated one month blip. Typically run a two man team with all runs posted. Much more of a help for me for the other 4 than its value in hauling my second around in reality.

The problem with the Bracelet of Friends is that it's consumable. In my opinion, they should make it reusable and raise its price in the store. I would gladly make a much larger one-time purchase (in the hundreds or even a thousand and above of DDO Points) to use it indefinitely. As it stands I'll never spend points on it. Sure, it's a nice little quality of life thing to teleport your party to you, but it's nowhere near nice enough to justify the ~$1/day or so that you could easily go through with consistent use of it.

Also, the current model effectively punishes you for helping friends. Every time someone doesn't know where to go or is holding up the rest of the party costs you money. So you want to use it as little as possible to increase its value for you. Whereas if it were a one-time purchase, using it as much as possible to help your friends increases the value you get from it.

This is another item they could use to monetize Lammordia pre-orders.

Base pre-order: 1 charge/day port one party member to your side BTC one character
Collectors: 5 charges/day BTA one character, Ultimate: 5 charges/day (account wide)

Ah, don't give them ideas? Well, I guarantee that every idea anyone posts has them pondering "how can I monetize this?" I bet they're considering pre-order enticements at present.

Yeah, this is spot on. You can get me to buy almost anything that is a permanent account or character upgrade, but I don't buy anything that is a temporary buff (which includes anything with limited uses). I have these bracelets from back when they were given out for free as the freebie of the week, but I haven't even fully used one for the exact reasons you mentioned. I would gladly buy, and use, a permanent one.

By all means, give them ideas. We want more quality of life improvements made to the game and I'd much rather pay for them than not have them at all. The only thing I would disagree with is putting them in expansion pre-orders. Make a bunch of permanent quality of life improvements and add them to the DDO store to be purchased any time you wish. Even something as simple as a permanent gold seal hireling is a quality of life improvement that saves you from having to go to the merchant to buy another contract and can be used to make SSG money.

Yes with dev odd love with huge slayer zone with no ports. Or ports only after you done quests ><. This will greatly improve the game. Or they chould just have the npcs that give quests port you there idk.

While OP may want it for multiboxing... I, personally, would like it to get 12 raiders to a single spot, quickly, when running multiple raids.
More raids done is more by pass timers used. Is dev team listening... if you haven't figure out yet given a little to the players will net you alot in return. You are sitting on a gold mine but 💩 in the shifting basket 😆. Not crap like rare loot your just making player base mad. Only things like jibbers should be super rare case items.

Here's a thought why can't port player be a vip perk. Give it like a 10/20 min cool down so it can't be abused. Everyone runing loot and exp pots will thank you and I trun they will buy more. Trust me people don't buy them all time cuase all the water time off them just getting to quests is getting silly.

When i first read the title, my initial thought was.... You were upset that the bracelet didn't help you make friends.
