What can change the nature of a man ?
They will not reskin halforc again to make Goliath, that would be asinine.

They would probably make a Shadar super beefy bodybuilder-ish and pump up his height to a foot above a halforc.

I don't know if it's ever been said, but if you believe it, take a gnome and WF inquis to any moderately lumpy explorer area and see what you think.
I’m almost 100% certain this is incorrect.

Mainly because I believed it as well once upon a time, because in this action game of 1’s and 2’s a dramatically smaller hitbox is a MASSIVE advantage.

whooaoaaaaa that means traps are much, much harder to avoid as a halforc or giant-ish character than it is a tiny halfling.

I wonder if this applies to moving through mobs, would a halfling have an easier time squeezing past mobs than a halforc?

I don't know anything about the width of different races, but the height is definitely different, so traps that you can go under (like the flame trap in Rest for the Restless) should definitely be easier to avoid on a short race (though this mostly depends on what exact shape those flames officially have when determining whether or not they hit you).

No, because the horc would have the same hitbox as the halfling. How the system checks for whether or not a character is hit is different than whether or not a character too large can fit beyond a crevice, ceiling or door. Think of it as two different layers.

Dwarves, Halflings and Half-Orc are all due for an Iconic race. Discuss.
Druegar could end up as the Dwarf Iconic, like Deep Gnome Wizard. Here's some of my ideas for that.
The Drawf Iconic should really be the Kundarak Warder, a dragonmarked dwarf fighter, with bonuses for using an axe and shield. I'd even give them the Dragonmark of Warding as a free racial feat, instead of making them take it for a feat slot. The racial tree doesn't require much of a change either:
Tier 1: In Kundarak Dragonmark Focus, replace +1/2/3 search with +1/2/3 Balance; Replace Stout with "Wary: +5/10/15% fortification and +2/4/6 AC and PRR while actively blocking"
Tier 2: Replace Child of the Mountain with "Guardian of the Gate: +1/2/3 Intimidate, at tier 3 also +5% quality HP"
Tier 3: Replace Dwarven Runes with "Kundarak Wards: +2/4/6 Spell Resistance (stacking with all other sources)"
Tier 4: Replace Dwarf Fortress with "Multiselector: -Golden Door: +1/2/3 Dragonmark charges per rest to each dragonmark, your dragonmark abilities gain +1/2/3 caster level and MCL. -Iron Gate: +3/6/10% chance to Shield Bash, While wearing Heavy armor and a shield, when you activate any dragonmark ability, get temp HP equal to your constitution, doubled if level 20+ and for 20 seconds double the melee power and PRR gained from your Shield Mastery"

Halfling Iconic: Tinkerer, starts as Arti and capstone allows evasion in medium armor. Dex/Int
Half-Orc Iconic: Witch Doctor, starts as FvS and has death/summons/control mob abilities. Wis/Cha
Dwarf Iconic: Toadstool, starts as Peasant (new class! yay!) and has ability to sit in one place for extended periods of time. Con, duh.

When adding up races in your head, you are considering PDKs as Ogres, right?

I vote Duergar, we are short on dwarves, forgive the pun, or other monster races like troll, pure orc, kobold. Goliath sounds cool, psionic races would be neat as well given items with psionic bonuses
