last year the new horse (red) originally cost 240 scales. people said this was too much so the cost was reduced to 50. just for reference, at this time you could trade scales with other players or box accounts, so it wasn't too bad to get 50 scales or 240 if you boxed. anyway, for some reason this year the new horse is back to the old 240 scale price AND the old red horse also got increased to 240? huh? I thought the cost was reduced cuz it was too much. regardless, the scales are now bta so you cant multi box or trade for the scales. this means you need to run the stupid dragon quest 15 times for 1 horse. god forbid you need them both... why was this changed? is this intended? this seems like an unnecessary grind for something that was cheaper last year

I'm not motivated enough to go and verify, but my memory is that two times ago was the lower price, which they said had been a mistake. Last time, I believe it was the higher price. I'm pretty sure it wasn't bound two times ago, but I don't remember if it was bound last time or not, although I think it was.

iirc SSG was pretty clear last year that in retrospect they thought they priced it too low. Pretty sure there was a dev post or something said in a livestream to this effect. Not surprised to hear they raised it. Unfortunate for those who didn't grab it last year.

I'd imagine that a seasonal event for "fun" would not need to be a massive, soul crushing grind for a change, but I guess that's the mindset the devs are autopiloting in.

Eternity Unleashed awards 30 scales at level. If you can manage level +3, it awards 40 scales. At that rate, it takes 6 runs to earn enough scales for one horse.

If you don't want to run the event, wait till the end and buy all the mats for dirt cheap and get your horse.

No. SSG is milking the Player Base. It's called Capitalism and having to play Employees.

Certain Players (or disguised employees, or Trolls) are antagonizing the Player base. Huh... like me, by definition. The Antagonist. Disruptor.

How is this a scam? You're aware of the cost and can choose to take part or not take part. 15 times? Are you running the quest under level, or just exaggerating for effect? I think I ran it 5 or 6 times to get the horse yesterday, and I had some scales left over. Personally, I don't want everyone being able to run each dungeon once or twice and get all the mounts and cosmetics. What's the point? Why not just give the rewards away?
