- Severlin mentioned that SSG is working on a new 64 bit client server that will help with certain background issues(Twizzle code? and etc) and may allow new fun features in the future if testing goes well. Some features mentioned (though not tested and thus we don't know if they are actually coming with the new servers) is an option to do Hardcore style gameplay on the server without leaving it.



- They are still planning to update halflings aesthetics.

- Steelstar has slipped that the new archetype will most likely and or is at the moment planned to be a Monk archetype. along also saying

"So. The thing with a lot of our classes/trees/etc:

We pull a lot from pen and paper D&D. But we also typically put a new spin on whatever's coming from the source material, in part because the pen & paper prestige classes usually aren't large enough to fully flesh out what we need for DDO purposes, and in part because we're looking to fit it into the broader meta of DDO while still being new and interesting. Ultimately, while we're based on 3.5 (and D&D in general), we are also a separate edition of sorts. Whenever we do add to/modify what's in the pen and paper, it's with WOTC's approval.

Pen and paper D&D is also known to take a prestige class and attach it to a slightly off-expectation class at times - take Arcane Archer, which started as a Prestige class but became a Fighter subclass in 5th Edition. When we do similar things, it's still D&D even when it's not directly 1:1 with a book. (edited)"

Natural Armor
Claws/Bite
Breath Weapon
Blindsense (a form of True Seeing, really)
Wings (which we already represent via abundant step in other dragon-y places)

All of which have flexibility to fit in DDO while leaving some space for other Dragon/Monk things. Doesn't mean we necessarily HAVE to cover all of those, but they're easier than some other prestige classes to cover"

- Severlin talked about the new 64 bit Server and what it means and such and the new hardcore feature.





- the new Hardcore will be called Lanterns in the Mist. You must collect lanterns and not die, if you die the lantern will be destroyed.





- This new Hardcore will allow people to play along others who arent participating.





- There will be 5 lanterns, which will have a goal tied to it to earn. Lanterns can help reveal the mist walkers.





- the next week ( or the week after) we should be able to test the 64 server out for SSG





- Severlin did say if this 64 bit server is successful eventually there will be transfers opened.





- the Lanterns will be equipped in the trinket spot and are associated with the Mists of Ravenloft

- In the future, the goal is to have more than one 64 bit server and open transfers to them, but there is a lot of work to do before that time.



- Travis Willhelm from Critical Role voices the new Night Revels challenge



- a Bug with Frogo not unlocking a chest in Night Revels will be fixed in next patch



- Sadly it sounds like the bug with Night Revels keys and mats in then Exchange wont be fixed this time this year.



- Tolero stated that the new servers will allow them to see causes of lags better than before!



- Cormyr's next round of testing will include the new Lantern event, and Dev's may ask us to stress out certain quests.



- Cormyr going live? The server progress is going so well it may be as soon as the end of the year, but chances next year.



- Tolero wants everyone to know that SSg is interested in consistent spots, like if youre in a spoty facing a specific place or when youre only in this one spot and it causes performance issues. Tolero also reminds us to use our /loc to help them find the exact spot we are reporting.



- SSG is focused on getting this 64 bit server out so things like Hardcore season 10 may take a backseat till then.


- Cordovan wont be doing fridays @ 4 the next two weeks. Have a nice vacation Cordovan!
