Northern Badgerfolk Playable?

As my research regarding DDO has met with little success (and i still have ~2hrs for the full game to finish downloading)
I would ask, are Northern Badgerfolk a playable race? This is critical to my continued interest.

DDO Wiki is the primary documentation for the game, though it's unofficial (ie. player-supported). It should be able to answer all of your questions, though I use Google for the search engine into it -- it's own search is pathetic and unusable.

BTW, I wouldn't really hope for a "D&D" experience from DDO. It's more like a generic MMO (EQ1 or WoW or similar) with D&D flavor. At least that's my one-sentence summary for it. Any build you might love from elsewhere will utterly fail in DDO. You'll have to start from scratch, including learning & testing the play.

Too much of a racial undertone for this to be viable online. Keep in mind that the Dev's recently nuked a non-player race from orbit, just for that reason.

Considering the very suspect Eladrin dance(s) that were released. I'm sure we'll get a non-bianary DEI "friendly" race at some point in the future. It's likely to be ridiculous OP, to ensure that everyone plays it. Thus buying into social conditioning like good litter shee-people.
