Odd audio sounds

So I constantly get a whining / squealing noise when I play the game. At first I thought it was just an odd sound choice. Then I noticed that sometimes when I use my headset that this odd sound keeps coming out of my regular speakers. I do not have this issue with any other software/games. Anyone else enounter this?

UPDATE: If I turn the engine speed to medium or lower, it goes away. At least so far. Is that degrading the game performance at all?

Maybe check what driver the game is using for your audio. If you're using OpenAL, try using generic software instead.

I verified that the drivers are up to date and tried open AL and generic. Lowering the engine speed fixed it seems, and I don't notice any performance degradation - so I am happy for now. Thanks for you reply!
