OFFICIAL: Character Builder Lite

I have not tested it personally, but I've been told that if you have 2 epic spell focus feats (eg necro and ench) you can take the same spell specialty feats (necro and ench again), as the only pre-reqs of each is that you have at least one epic spell focus *other* than that specialty (eg necro sees you have ench, and ench sees you have necro).

I will have to see if I have a character that is high enough in levels to repec and try this to verify.

In the meantime I will see if there is some way I can make the system check for this. Otherwise we will just need to turn off the safe guards and people will need to remember they cannot take Necro if Necro is the only Epic Spell Focus they have.
Just tested, took epic SF necro and conj, then took specialty in both.

  • spring attack can be taken as a monk bonus feat at monk 1 as long as you meet its other pre-reqs
  • the unarmed strike feat text should be updated to give melee power
  • the finishing moves feat doesn't exist anymore
  • spring attack can be taken as a monk bonus feat at monk 1 as long as you meet its other pre-reqs
    • Not sure how you are doing that. It's locked behind a BAB of +4, which you do not have as a lvl 1 monk. I entered all of the combinations of human monk that I could think of to make this work and could not get it to show up in this new build. Can you tell us what you did so I can try to recreate the problem?
  • the unarmed strike feat text should be updated to give melee power
    • Oops, missed that one. Will update soon.
  • the finishing moves feat doesn't exist anymore
    • That is because Finishing Moves were removed from the game in U72.

take levels of anything except monk until you have BAB 4, then take monk 1 (taking dodge & mobility before then as well)

Ah, of course. I am sorry, I thought you meant it was happening with a level 1 monk only, not a mixed class. That is obviously a bit different.

Looking at the data there is some kind of unique limiter on that feat allowing it to bonus for the Monk only at level 6. I am not sure why, as that is the only class and feat that uses that bit of code in this builder (it even says that in the FAQ). After I got rid of that everything worked correctly. I will save that in the updated Feats file.

Small update to the Feats.txt file. Thanks everyone for posting the issues you find. Please keep them coming!

Feats.txt
  • Spring Attack added as allowed bonus Feat for Dragon Disciple
  • Changed text in Unarmed Strike to be +5 melee power instead of +1 weapon step
  • Added "One: Epic Spell Focus: [School]" condition to Spell Specialty selectors to correct selectable options.
  • Removed special "ClassBonusLevel: Monk 6" code from Spring Attack, since it doesn't seam to apply anymore.
As always, just download the above .txt file and replace the one in your Data > Builder folder.

  • Added "None: Spell Focus: [School]" condition to Spell Specialty selectors to correct selectable options. You cannot take a Spell Specialty of a spell school you already have the basic Spell Focus in.
You can take spell specialty in a school as long as you have at least 1 epic spell focus in any other school. There is no anti-requisite

Okay, I know we keep going back and forth on this one. Sorry about that. I read a forum post that had incorrect info, since I was trying to verify what you were telling me since I couldn't try it on my own. I had it wrong (again), and was able to find more info that confirmed your information. So at this point I think I have it so it just looks for an Epic Spell Focus that is not it's own and so long as you have it you can pick the specialty.

dragon disciple bonus feat list needs a lot of fixes:

feats the builder thinks are bonus feats but shouldn't be:
  • Discipline
  • Great Fortitude
  • Iron Will
  • Shuriken Expertise
  • Ten Thousand Stars
feats the builder doesn't have as bonus feats but should be:
  • combat casting
  • dodge
  • mobile spellcasting
  • mobility
  • power attack
  • precision
  • swf
  • spell focus (only conj, evo, trans)
  • thf
  • twf
  • weapon finesse
  • whirling steel strike

and they're missing black dragon bolt as a lvl 4 spell

Odd. All of these were in the data I originally sent over post update. I think somewhere an file was missed when the data was merged. With all the changes ChicagoChis had to make in this last build I can see how wires may have gotten crossed.

Anyway, I went through and added all of this back in. It should be good now. Downloads below.

  • Grandmaster of Flowers - Core 4: added check code for Stunning Blow or Stunning Fist

Hey All! Updating for the Dhampir and Dark Bargainer right now. I've merged the above Feats/classes/Enhancements/Destinies changes so they should all be good. I've got the race and iconic working, but not the new dark gift feats yet.

I'm working on some changes to the Warlock Pack feats to add the Dark Powers pact but limit it to the iconic, which made me realize that Acolyte of skin wasn't working correctly. I'm also thinking of ways to add the granted spells to the builder, but that may involve a ton of work.

Hopefully I'll have a release by end of week.

Is this the right thread for the Cannith Crafting Item Planner (CannithCrafting.exe)?

The planner includes the "Guard" group of effects (Acid Guard, Evil Guard, etc.). But in-game at the crafting machines, I don't see any of those choices. Am I missing something, or is the planner incorrect?

Yes, the planner is part of the bundle.

It looks like guards were removed as part of U46, but I can't find official confirmation.
Try this Cannith/Shards.txt

Thanks for doing all of this @ChicagoChris! Sorry I have been slacking, but all of this happened while I have been on vacation and nowhere near a computer!
