I just TR'd from druid to paladin - MY LAST LIFE BEFORE HEROIC COMPLETIONIST. dude I'm so stoked. I ask for some help because melee is really not my playstyle. I have sharn gear and some decent bastard swords. I want to do the iconic Bladeforged but having trouble finding a build. I want to do a cha based build. I'm willing to go str but figured I'd give one last ditch effort to the wonderful forums to see what I can get.

Anyone have a handy Bladeforged build that's solid? Honestly, I'll play any style but really looking for something that isn't super dependent on gear. I will be wearing random sharn gear all the way to 30 most likely. I will be TR'ing at level 30. I have 25 reaper points yay.


Would love a flavor build that still gets me a pally life

Take Heroic Sharn sets + Epic Saltmarsh set...ride them til 30, swap out a few BIS stuffs along the way. Gravy if you have ESOS.

I know alot of people that go Class 11 or 12, and Artificer for the rest, and just machinegun their way to 20. With the really t'waffle amount
of TR hamster-wheels SSG put into the game, sometimes you just have to use a repeater and fire through crowds of Orc orphans to finish.

Could even do Druid 9/Arti 8/X 3 for Druid or Pal 8/Arti 8/X 4

(Arti has past life priority over Druid on ties.)

OP needs a BF Pally life...why are you two discussing druids and artis?
BF starts at 15; breeze to 20, put some sharn and epic saltmarsh stuff n thangs...youll be cap 30 in a weekend.

A pure thf kotc-based bladeforged will do just fine. Sharn gear with possibly a few crafted items to round it out is fine until cap, really. Having a sos will help, of course (and an esos in epics even better), but you can also have fun with a blackrazor (lvl 9), and change to Syranian or Boring lands weapon when you get there.

My current pally is CHA based, but I found it easier to gear for a STR build. Either is fine for levelling, really. CHA does take one more feat, though, which may be an issue on a forged.

Pickup the + to Hit/Damage from Feydark tree, strap on for Sharn + Saltmarsh gear and blast through to 30.
Make sure to get the reconstruct from the BF racial tree and you will be an unstoppable leveling machine.
Currently toying around with a BF but using Strimtom's version of the build that uses the Dynastic Falcata and SWF as it natively uses CHR or STR, saving some points in Feydark tree and becomes a favored weapon.

I still like my bastard swords though. Got to love hand an a half weapons.

Thank you guys, really just needed to hear that it'll work just kinda out the box. Also I see saltmarsh is mentioned quite a bit, I have bought that pack but haven't ran it at all. I think after looking at it, I'ma go str just for simplicity. I have gear that supports that decision a little easier. Probably just pick up the barovian great sword to start and see what I can pick up outside that. I also have no knowledge on just about any of the crafting in the game. Honestly just picked up on my main after a several year break that had a few lives and I used Comfy's build to get the rest of my life's excluding druid and pally. Druid was easy as blight caster needs literally no gear. Thanks for all the responses!
