I've been chasing a couple rings, the Band of Manifest magic and the Charisma ring... all I've seen is Acrobatics, Mental Magic, & Holy Way... ransacked 8 characters with triple rerolls across the board... *crys*

Well, 5-slot artifacts for multiple slots with great stats would render too many old ones obsolete. Like it or not, but thats the reason. Its not an oversight.

Actually a system to add slots to old artifacts is the only thing that could keep old artifacts useful as long as possible. If you needed an ingredient or crafting altar (only accessible if you own MD) from this xpack, there you have it, a way to keep MD and the old stuff relevant as well.

Much better than creating junk that makes you wish you never bought a new xpack.

I got one. But because is a ring, it does not fit in my gear tetris. joy!

If they'd added an "artifact" gear slot it would have made sense. Having random cr4p as artifacts, or in the case of the failed Perfected
items becoming one and screwing up the gear sets, most of them are badly designed gem-food. Basically, the usual SSG gold-standard.

I have ONE 'Perfected' item I can't pass up on applicable builds.... 'Golden Guile'.. that is seriously a sweet artifact

Wiki drop location is wrong or incomplete. Both those are from the red wilds trash chests. I've never seen one from Dragon or Worm. I've fed more than a few to SXP. They're not rare.

It can take wiki & builder months to catch up on drop sources.

The ring definitely drops from the dragon's chest.
The dragon's chest drops that ring, some augments, and a cloak.

I've gotten tons of rings and augments, but the cloak is so rare that I've only gotten one so far.
