Coin Lords shut down the holiday due to structural damage to the Hall of Heroes after last year's event. Bureaucrats ruin everything.

what a nice idea! let's do a new event, the Chonkfest! with some minigame like the Chonkrace. we used to slide and skate yes? well let's do the same but with the chonks! needless to say, amongst the chonky event prizes the chonky event vendor has, there must be the Original Chonkdragon and some chonker variations of it.

it's CRITICAL to have a way for the new players, now and forevermore, to be able to get The Chonk.

This sounds solid to me! A little pre-fathers day chonkfest to get the weekend started off right. Maybe start in the hall of heroes with a tour deforce that hits the market and harbor bank, and culminating in the grove?

Maybe tonight on DDOstream I can see if I can organize an impromptu 2nd somewhat annual celebration on Cormyr (since a lot of folks have accounts there...yes, I know this is an Orien server.)

I'm not inclined to start one before server downtime, since Thelanis went for ~24 hours last year. Cormyr does need it's first Chonkfest.

- I suppose we could just call maintenance an intermission

I ended up deciding to start one on the Sharn Dome on Cormyr; I'll keep it going until downtime and maybe there will be extended maintenance to repair the dome

Perhaps we can get the free Ground Bound Green Dragon returning every May 29th so new players can join in.
Also, we could have the Drake coffers conveniently show up each Chonkfest
