Phiarlan's pendent of time - make it work in wilderness areas.

Hi all.

A crazy thought here. What if they made the Phiarlan's pendent of time work in wilderness areas? Or added another such pendent as favor reward that worked in wilderness areas for when you are doing slayers/exploration and rare runs.

This would greatly be appriciated by most of us I think, especially if we are running xp/slayer pots.

It could even be like the one you can get from doing the intro quest to crafting with charges (although then it should probably be sold by a favor vendor rather then beeing a once/TR life reward).

Yes. Right now it is worthless for most of us.
Very true....it's faster to just mount then to use it. The only time i ever really use it is if I know I'm going many places in the city (like talking to favor guys, buying scrolls/pots/others or picking up quests etc) and even then I might just use the mount instead.

As for rare runs like in IoD it's easy enough to just mount in between but occasionally you get hit and "knocked off" your mount and need to kill and if you are, as I said in the op, doing slayers and explorer it's very nice.

Because you're in a Guild with a Chronoscope. Maybe it is most players, certainly a lot.

Mounts solve Wilderness travel. It can join the lost treasures of yore. Like traveler's tokens, etc.
Chronoscope only requires Guild Level 12, too. Any guild with an airship almost certainly has Chrono.

Some newbies just refuse to go farm a horse. I recall one that everyone in party gave tips to about horses and how easy it was to get one. A week later same newbie joins (now in epics) and still has no horse.

I have about 5 spare unused mount certificates (duplicates from gold dice or drops no one wanted). I wonder if they'd click on it if I could give one away or would that be too hard?

You can lead a newbie to the horses, but you can't make 'em farm.

Or he was still farming for the Enchanted Horseshoe before using the horse certificate. 😋
