Given the relationship between Dragonborn/dragons and kobold SSG could make kobolds a choice that satisfies Dragonborn racials (like elves/woodelves) then whoever wants it can play it but nobody has to play it to maintain racial completionistI'm a recent addition to the DDO player base but I've heard rumblings, rumors that DDO, possibly under Standing Stone, put the offer of playable kobolds being added to the game some time down the line - they were in a community vote against Dragonborn and lost. But losing the vote doesn't necessarily mean they wouldn't ever be made playable, only that they weren't prioritized
With as much official Eberron lore as Kobolds have been given, it's surprising to me that they haven't already been added. I've had a lot of fun with Kobold players at my D&D table, and representing kobolds as a DM - and one of these days I'll have an opportunity to play one myself. The question is, will it be on paper or on the internet through DDO? Only time will tell.

I like this better than DnD 5e where the negative strength modifier was removed. I'm guessing SSG might shy away from a -4 strength penalty though as that is pretty steep.-4 Strength, +2 Dexterity, -2 Constitution.
Small size: +1 bonus to Armor Class, +1 bonus on attack rolls, +4 bonus on Hide checks, carrying limits ¾ those of Medium characters.
+2 Search, bonus to trap making, maybe can always make traps?
+1 Natural AC
Should have Darkvision, but not implemented on races in DDO
Why not lizardfolk with an INT and balance buff for racial reincarnation. They could add a chameleon version with a buffed hide and sneak and DEXfor an Iconic to whatever class that doesn't match it's race.I'm a recent addition to the DDO player base but I've heard rumblings, rumors that DDO, possibly under Standing Stone, put the offer of playable kobolds being added to the game some time down the line - they were in a community vote against Dragonborn and lost. Ooh, yeah! Maybe the Kobolds are fed up with getting slaughtered in the sewers, so all the different groups put aside their differences, and band together to take back their homes, turning the sewer system that adventurers once zerged through so fearlessly, into a maze-like gauntlet of pain and death, à la Tucker's Kobolds. Oh! And the final BBEG of it could be Pun Pun, the Almighty!Would need to be part of a mini expansion or something, some lore reason to tie them into arriving...like EPIC WATERWORKS?!
I could see the Devs bring back Vecna for this, since he's not really "dead" per se at the end of VU. All of those Prayer Beads they collected were for Pun Pun and his Codex pages.Ooh, yeah! Yeah good point, I am tired of Codex Pages, please ignore that momentary lapse in sanity. If I never see a Codex page again... it will be too soon!
Would love to see some Tucker style kolbolds in a quest. There was a little hint of that in Bolderland's Kolbold Lair, but it could have so much better (or worse depending on how you look at it).![]()
Really?! YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSS!!!!!!According to GenCon meetup the devs are taking a serious look at playable kobolds. ...
Oh. I recognize that AI song generator. It did "I Can't Heal Dumb" and "I Had a Plan", too.You people keep asking for playable kobolds..
Has anyone stopped to ask if the kobolds want us?
