Playable Kobolds?

What a well reasoned response explaining your reasons why you do not like this, and why your preference should be prioritized over others. Truly you have done an adept job at showing how you're not just "yucking someone else's yum", as they say.

EDIT: Sarcasm aside, repeatedly replying with a "no" image without any explanation is manifestly unhelpful, and contributes less than nothing to the discussion.

Some players have been asking for this for a LONG time. Personally, I really, really don't care for it, but I'm not going to yuck anyone's yum.

If they ever did release a Kobold player race (and perhaps iconic with it...ugh ?), I'd definitely want to keep my racial feat I worked hard for (and sure, I'll take more PL bonuses, stances, racial APs, etc.). But honestly, I just wouldn't be able to TR out of those lives fast enough. That's a guaranteed 12 Otto's boxes sold (yes, I'd even stone from 15-20 on the iconics + 2 epic boxes to go 20-30, just so I didn't have to play any of it).

If other players did finally get the playable kobold race they've been asking for all these years, then I'm genuinely happy for them. But for me...just...no.

I'd say no, but I can't think of a ton of races I want to be added instead. Kalashtar makes the most sense to me. Thri-kreens would be awesome, but I think Kobolds would happen before them.

So I guess they might as well be. If so I hope they get a good quest pack too. They could make for an interesting iconic warlock.

I wouldn't mind another doorstopper race making an appearance in this sea of elves! They are one of my favorite races to fight with my halfling (I only play h'lings), because our faces are just about at the same height. I really like staring a kobold in the eye, instead of staring at an ogres kneecap.
How much are you willing to pay for it, though? DDO is F2P and rekiant, seems to me, on folks buying Expansions.

Did I mention it's F2P, unlike LoTRO?

Me? Zero bucks unless it comes as extra in the purchasable bare bones xpack - I only play halflings. I would pay extra for halfling subraces. If others want to buy some kobolds, it's no skin off my nose and I wouldn't mind seeing them in the game. There's plenty of market for elves at least it seems. Might as well try something different!

I'll take all three wish they'd done any of them instead of Dragonborn

Supremely unpleasant grognards aside, there's definitely players out there who actively crave playable kobolds

The way I see it, playable Kobolds are a guaranteed sell, anyone who thinks different doesnt know the majority of the playerbase. It would be the ultimate DDO inside joke payoff, doubly so if the /laugh was like Nelson from the Simpsons but with CC Kobold voice. Some people say no to the idea but if it came, that bandwagon would be HUGE. SSG knows it is an absolute guaranteed sell 100% no question, but they will likely carry on with their schedule for whatever race comes next etc regardless. Sadly I doubt Kobold will ever make it onto that schedule which is such a shame. Instead they will probably introduce it if/when sales numbers dip further than they're happy with.

Just have a kobold past life feat giving +1% named loot, stacking 3 times, as a passive, because Shinies
Perfect. Its the kind of idea thats been staring at you in the face, whyyyy did I not think of it! Well played
