Of course, this poll is completely obsolete if there is a data loss / rollback.

As someone that worked many weekends myself I want to thank the SSG staff that worked on a holiday weekend to diagnose and work on a resolution. While some player plans were thwarted, that is nothing compared to disappointing your family on a holiday by working. I've done that too.

Why? - to turn an unfortunate event causing negative repercussions for players and DDO into something positive and to incentivize logging back in when possible

How? - no giveaways of monetary crap as they already took a considerable hit due to unplanned downtime during a time when a lot of people would be able to play. An event of some kind for the next weekend to make it extra sweet and to give players a way to make up for lost time. That would also give players the option to double down and use both potions (if they so choose) by getting them themselves, but to reap benefits all players would have to do is log in and play and not have to worry about what character and when to use any items gained.

So closest out of those options the week(end?)-long bonus for stuff. I'd run with a combination of buddy bonus + treasure hunt + individual xp boost. The reason as to why a larger boost such as the one I mentioned may be in order is because this was the easter weekend - a lot of people tend to have a better oppourtunity for gaming on vacay weekends and that was more or less deleted by these unfortunate circumstances.

Edit: maybe even additional raid resets because a lot of people and guilds missed out on raids they normally get to run, which I suppose is why raiders box was one of the options in the vote.

I'd love a Raider's Box or an XP stone of my choice (Epic or Heroic).

These are all digital goods, so they don't "cost" SSG really anything.

Its not like if they give me a Heroic Stone...I will be one life closer to "quitting the game".

Its not like getting a Raid Item will lead to me "retiring" a character that finally gets that item.

I don't plan on quitting for a long time anyway, but a Raider's Box or XP Stone would make me happy.

BTW, I recently bought the new Vecna Expansion (haven't played the quests yet) and upgraded Saltmarsh to get Frogo. So I don't mind "spending money" on the game. Oh, and I am a "VIP" subscriber.

Whatever they do shouldn't be a weekend event which is the typical response. Just because someone could play one weekend, doesn't mean the next is viable. If they do anything it should come in the form of a consumable so people can actually benefit from it when they can play.

Honestly, I don't care about any compensation. Even though I do inject money into the game regularly, I am not a VIP, so I didn't lose much of anything other than playtime. I certainly would not begrudge any VIP who wanted it.

What I want is better accountability for this company. By themselves and by this player base at large. These episodes are not OK to keep happening. It's unprofessional and they should be embarrassed by their abject failure this weekend. It's getting old guys. Just how many decades is it going to take for you to get it together?
