OK... sooo many h8 threads, lets have some fun, and tell some 'good' stories! Your character didn't have to live, as long as you had fun ;)

>I'll start
yesterday i was cleaning inventory at the end of an r1 borderlands to grab a named item, and Bam there's a Mist warrior on my back? Not a huge deal, except I just got to 20 that morning and I have only 550 hps in epic R1. Luckily, one player saw the mist and stayed to help. But > Invisibility guard < from the lvl 7 IOD belt saved me again. I may wear that till i can get that power near cap. It was an epic ambush since we were both doing inventory and chatting, but we nailed it without dying. F U N times :)

I've been really enjoying DD monk so far. I was kinda worried it would feel too eldritch-knight-y, but having both monk cc moves, and a nice pack of SLA's has been a pretty great experience. I don't think it's the strongest tbh but I'm having fun with it and thats what I care most about when it comes to a new thing.

been raiding alot more. something i had avoided for some time as i mostly solo. its been a great time. learned so much more about the game. have seen some amazing guilds run raids. alot of very welcoming groups and guilds, including invites into discord. people are awesome, and super helpful. i have seen alot of crazy things in raids, and its been alot of fun seeing how other people approch quests/raids. learned more in a year then in the many years playing solo before.

I'm mostly solo too. I'm at the point where I have to start dipping into raids. Probably a good time to do it, but will need to find some groups that don't mind helping the kid that still has training wheels on their bike. 🙃

I am enjoying exploring The Isle of Dread. Five of my characters now have dinosaur bone weapons. One has a dinosaur bone artifact--the first artifact ever equipped by one of my characters. (I have not decided what filigrees to slot.) During the Dread preview, I formed a very negative view of Dread, mostly because of Dread Sea Scrolls and Captive of the Hidden God. It turns out the rest of the quests are good to excellent. It is easy to skip the two I do not like. The wilderness area is fun to ransack.

Last week, I earned my third and fourth Reaper Point on my avatar. I need to choose quests very carefully but have identified a small number within reach.

Three more of my characters hit 34 over the weekend. Now they need equipment.

I am finding lots of things because of the current loot boost and had to make more characters to store all the new equipment. My hope is that some of it will be useful for making equipment sets. Most of my characters need high level equipment.

Over the last week I found a couple of tomes in chests and one more from the silver slot machine.

After some experimentation, my monkette plays really well and is now one of my front line treasure hunters. She is fun.

It was a pretty good week.

Smashing out all ten lanterns in the mist event was fun, especially smashing the original heads of the beasts on reaper with ease.

Have even almost filled out an entire extra set of lanterns helping others fill in their lanterns.

Have meet some great people and look forward to a continued gaming relationship with them as we have welcomed several players from the mists event into EXTREME MV Permadeath.

With all its flaws, DDO is most fun I had in any MMO I tried.

Snd only one I keep playing after years (every other MMO would start feeling like a second job after few months, which is not the cade with DDO)

DDO's combat system, character control and movement are the best of any game I have played or watched.

Customizable hot bars.

Hot swapping gear from those customizable hot bars.

You can run really fast...

You can jump high...

YOU CAN CAST SPELLS WHILE RUNNING FAST AND JUMPING HIGH.

Amazing.

I noticed no one mentioned the amazing soundtrack, but for me, that's what stands out the most!

The immersive experience and atmosphere that come with the quests, along with the narrative and lore, make me feel like I'm truly part of the adventure.

The wide variety of builds and possibilities, which might be among the greatest ever in MMOs, only enhances the journey.

I have found a new home on Cormyr. Husband and me always used to duo on Khyber, not anymore. Now we are part of a great Family, the Guild "Pay it forward", which we have joined for some HC seasons before Cormyr. Noone is left alone in that guild, everyone helps anyone that needs help. Even started raiding now, which never did before. A huge thank you to our awesome guildleader Dawnstrider!!!

I'm still finding new stuff in some quests: Tonight I ran "Through the Mirror Darkly" with my rogue and I found TWO secret doors I didn't know existed. One had a mimic and the other had a nasty blade trap where the disabling mechanism was
on the other side of reality
.
