Pure Monk Henshin Mystic kukris centered

Hi everyone, this is my first video on Moonsea!
Today I’m showcasing a build that I’m having an absolute blast with: the Monk with Kukris!
For testing the build I did the quest "Rats in a Cage" R8 solo.

I wanted to go for a Dhampir Dark Bargainer life, so I used a Lesser +1 to get 20 Monk levels.
It's not the most optimized race for this build (it was more of a forced choice to unlock the Iconic Past Life feat).

Vistani tier 3 - Deadly Blades.

Your daggers, kukris and throwing daggers do an additional +1[W] of damage. You are centered when fighting with daggers and kukris. (Note: not centered with throwing daggers).

Why did you choose SWF over TWF? is it better damage?

@Supot, I really like SWF a lot: combined with Quick Cutter and Patience, it becomes a style that delivers great DPS both on single and multi-target.

Nice—is that Maw? I was doing a similar AP split on my ki bolt monk but opted for twf kukri for more debuffing options and swaps.

SWF with Maw and using Patience, grabbing 20 MP out of tier 4 Vistani is a basic ‘chassis’ for a lot of builds and in the case of multiclasses, getting the capstone. Kukri has a fantastic native crit profile and the weapon-agnostic change to monk tier 5s have made for great flexibilty as well as nice CCs in Henshin and Shintao. Only Ninja Spy flops except for throwers.

Kukri in this setup is 14-20/4. Closest for a monk would be long swords with Knight’s Training; 16-20/5 and better base weapon damage. I think long swords would allow going up Shintao for jade strikes, and maybe better synergy with Quick Cutter (and extra multiplier), but there is no Maw equivalent for them. There is much to be gained doing Vistani (doublestrike and more weapon damage etc.).

I did the Frozen fish pairing for long swords and that was fun but they lacked debuffers—just good for raw dps on paper.

Yes, I'm using 2 kukris, first one is Maw (for trash mobs) the second one is the Undying (for red names)
