I didn't realize theres PvP in this game, how do I access PvP, also is it somewhat balanced?

Absolutely not.

I did almost 51k damage to someone in PVP on Shadowdale.

But conversely, it sucks because hide/move silently doesn't work either.

By most standards, DDO only has a token amount of PvP.
As said, in a few taverns.
If PvP is your thing, DDO is prob not your game.

The only time I’ve ever seen a LFM for PvP was a tank wanting to test their build.

Was in the Lobster.

Used to do the team objective maps with my guild for a long time, but the map area just showed that ranged builds would rule those areas. So it didn't make it a fun time for a lot of the team.

I remember back in like 2009-ish everyone would just stand in the taverns and try to PVP. If there were no casters it was always kind of interesting here and there, but as soon as a Maximized caster hit the floor they'd just kill everyone and hop out of the pit.

Used to be a lot of fun on weekends watching guilds descend on Lobster for PVP.

I remember back in early 2020, one of our (then) new additions decided to do the whole "WAIITT!" shout on discord, then proceeded to call out our raid hoster and challenge her to PVP for some comment she said. This was the guild raid night, so naturally she couldn't let that slide and for about 30m, the guild raid night became partially guild PVP, and she spent some time educating him on "how to become a frog" (gribbit). He eventually admitted defeat, then the guild raid night got back on track.
