Ok. Overall a pretty cool quest and idea but has some major problems:

1. Experience needs to be at least doubled if not tripled. Incredibly long quest and the exp is significantly less than quests that are 1/3rd of the time complete from this expansion.
2. First Vision - DM text or some notification is needed (unless I missed it) to go to the first shrine to trigger the first vision. You encounter maybe 5 mobs before that where you wouldn't think of getting as close to shrine as you need to to trigger it on the first pass (at least I didn't and ran back and forth a couple times before going all the way to the shrine).
3. Visions/Cutscenes/DMtext scripting that has to be played out to advance - After the first time these are seen, there has to be either be a way to skip them 100% or PAUSE the timers on buffs from ticking, particularly store bought potions. You can't make quests that are punishments because we have to wait for long narratives to play out, while experience pots just tick down with no way around it. This quest would be an instant skip in the saga (which is a shame because it is an interesting one).

The layout is pretty nice otherwise and definitely thematically cool going from seeking the cave to the unworthy ones inside of it.

Completed at Level 10 On Elite Difficulty
  • Slippery Floor with Oozes is slanted? Going towards the back of the cave is very difficult/near impossible while going the other way is very fast. Makes fighting the oozes very difficult, especially since they seem to have a ranged option.
  • The Bloom in the snow section is VERY high.
  • There are a LOT of Hook Horrors in the ambush.
  • The aggro triggers for some of the Ice Elementals are particular. I jumped down from the platform, rather than going down the ledges, then some wouldn't trigger standing in front of them swinging, but when I went back towards the ledge to climb up, they aggroed.
  • Jump could be very hard on a non-strength character without ranks in jump. Doesn't need to be a closer jump; may just need to extend ledge out from the wall a bit.
  • Stone Lions Optional:
    • The Stone Lions look GREAT
    • Lions 3 and 4 don't trigger until 1 and 2 are dead, and it says the pridelord doesn't trigger, but if you run up to it it does. Recommend animating all of them as you run by.
  • Hurray for the end of quest teleport!
    • Takes you to start of the quest which does not have an exit option, oops!
  • Agree with Pirotessa that the Experience is VERY low for the length of the quest.
The Quest is very cool, love this Lammordia specific take on meeting the Dark Powers!

I ran this as a level 10 Blightcaster first life character on elite. Pretty fun quest. I like the narrative as a part of the mechanic for progress the quest. It helps the world building. As Pirotessa said the quest needs a lot more xp especially if we have to wait for dialogue to happen to progress. My suggestion would be 3-3.5 times the base of 2547 xp. I noticed odd mob pathing after I fell into the spike pit, otherwise a smooth experience.

Great quest!

- The first ice wall didn't have a collapsing animation, It just disappeared

- The ice elementals after the ice wall collapsing had trouble getting aggro and stayed in inactive form unless I ran over them

- The dialogue during the second vision had pretty long pauses between the responses

- The hidden doors through the quest remain searchable even after being opened

- The stone lions all become active if you get close to them, so having the DM say ''another 2 lions come to life'' doesn't really make sense if i'm already fighting them

- The shrine placements felt a little awkward, I seemed to always be out of mana before the optional fights that gave access to the rest shrines

- I love this quest in terms of story and vibe, but something feels off in terms of gameplay, the overall tempo of how I advance through the adventure feels a little awkward. I think it's the conjunction of tunnels being a little long, some pretty bland straight lines at times, and the few moments of waiting for the dialogue to play though. Really fun and interesting for a slow play first time run, but may be a bit annoying in subsequent runs

It's looong with the long dialogues you need to listen to on top.
Interesting reference to the Amber Temple at the end. But XP is a way too low.
The portal at the end teleports player into the beginning of the quest where... there is no way to exit. The "exit" portal is not selectable.

What Was Lost - EH - DDB Wlk
- NPC convo in chat shows as Dungeonmaster instead of each NPC name, though were diff colours.
- Fairly long run, but made sense contextually.
- Slow npc convo, had to wait out, which was fine first time flower sniffing sure curious - 10, 20, 50, 100 times....too slow to appreciate.
- Kinda didnt want to bother with trash cos of long runs and npc dialogue.
- Used end red dd, couldn't interact with exit (after dd) had to Finish Out.
- Maybe have section doors/walls give way when they start the vision text rather than at end, making it a player choice.
